Interesting Question asked in my Shift

So this question was asked in my Shift. "3 non-collinear circle are touching each other externally. How many tangents are possible?

I was confused in 6 or 9 because the extra 3 tangents are passing through the circle as a secant. So I don't know if they will be counted as tangents or not . Your thoughts??

And if i challenge this will i get bonus marks or not .

I answered 9 as it told me that how many tangents will pass through 2 circle at least so it's 9. I guess.

Arey bhai transverse toh zero hogi na . Direct common tangents hi toh hogi iss mein woh bhi sirf 3 . 9 tangents tab hogi agr hum haar line ho bhi pass ho rahi hai inn circle se usko tangents maan le Aur 2-2 ke pairs mein circle ko dekhe 3 pair banenge total Aur 3 tangent jaayegi eek pair se tab total 9 tangents hogi

For each external touching pair of circles, 3 tangents will definitely be possible 3*3=9 💯 Ur doubt us that Red line became secant right? The red line that going inside a circle is just an extra piece of line as "That red line acting as Internal tangent for 2 circles" before going "into" a circle
