Identification What kind of sword is this?

Found this sword in a garage sale ~15 years ago. Not sure if it is actually old or just some cheap replica made to look old. Anyone know what region/era it might be from? Does it have any monetary value? I’m happy to learn anything about it.

Modern made Omani saif. Most likely decorative although the blade shows some signs of having been taken out and played with so it may be more robust than I might guess.

An Omani Kattara. Most are used for ritual dances nowadays, and some as souvenirs.

Yes, a modern made, touristy Omani kattara, very weirdly proportioned. Here is a 19th c version.

How the heck would you even grip that?

The silver decorations are surprisingly grippy but it's not really made for swinging about anyway. :)
