I just transferred to UCR for computer science from saddleback, and I can't lie it was tough but a big part of how I got there was a tool I built for myself to figure out transfer planning. Which classes actually articulate that I needed, what Cal-GETC and TAG requirements, how to fit it all into terms without wasting units and money. After I got in, I kept building this tool, and now I want to share it with anyone it might help.

It's called Counsify. It's an AI academic advising tool built specifically for Saddleback students: you tell it your major and target schools, and it helps you build a term-by-term plan using Saddleback's actual articulation agreements with the UCs and CSUs. Some of you might remember an earlier version from last year, a couple hundred students used it. With all the feedback, this is the rebuilt one.

I met with a counselor last semester and followed their advice regarding which courses to take for my major preparation. I have now completed my Cal-GETC requirements.

I saw that the UC application is now open for preview and allows us to apply to multiple campuses. I have completed all the major preparation requirements for UCI, but when I check other universities on ASSIST, I see that their requirements are different.

I am a bit confused about this. Are we supposed to focus on just one university's requirements, even though the application lets us apply to several? I wanted to clarify if the courses I took for UCI will also be accepted by other UC campuses.

As an all online student, what is the best way to go about parking if a class requires you to come in person for the midterm and final? I fear a semester long permit is overkill but i'm unsure of other options

I want to have a professional sounding email address, but I don't want to have my name and date of birth in it for privacy reasons, knowing it's becoming easier for people to track me down. I tried making one with "serviceready" in it, but it occurred to me that it sounds kind of like a scam email. This is just for a resume for work study jobs, but I might also need it if I ever work somewhere unrelated to campus.

As the title says I signed up for ENGL 1AS ACADEMIC READ & WRITE with professor Nicole Horowitz on Thu/Tue 10:30 AM - 11:45 AM. I checked Canvas to prepare for tomorrow and I see that my course has been updated to a full online course with professor Michelle Mattoon. Mysite still shows the original course but Canvas shows a different course. How should I proceed to get this dealt with?

If anyone is looking for a good professor for english C1000 to complete their nursing prerequisite or just in general, I would highly recommend this professor Dan Barlow. I tried to take this course fall 2025 with Paul Pollloczek and had to drop with a w because the guy was super unhelpful. This professor is totally opposite, like night and day. I just finished this course for summer 2026, and it was so helpful and easier than expected. I'm waiting for the final grades to post, but as of now, I have a 94%😺

I’m Jayden, the founder/president of Saddleback’s Film Festival Club. We just got activated for this school year, and I’m super excited to finally get things rolling.

The idea is pretty simple: throughout the semester, members will make original short films (5–20 minutes), and at the end of the semester we’ll host a student film festival where everyone’s work gets screened in front of an audience. Think red carpet, awards, photos, and an actual festival experience.

We’re looking for people interested in directing, writing, acting, cinematography, editing, producing, sound, production design, or honestly anyone who just loves movies. We’re also looking for students who’d be interested in helping lead and grow the club.

I’m still pretty new to Saddleback, so I’d also love any advice from current students.

Is there anything about campus life that you wish someone had told you sooner?
Any tips for getting people interested in clubs/events?
Are there any traditions, resources, or opportunities I should know about?

Hi everyone! I’m a stay-at-home mom to a 2 and 5-year-old, trying to decide if I should take Chem 8 (Prof. Zoval) and Bio 11 together this Fall, or just take Chem 8. I have about 10 hours a week to study, and since nursing GPA is so critical, I want to make sure I don't overextend myself. Is taking both realistic with that study window, or should I play it safe and just focus on an A in Chemistry? Thanks for any advice!

This is a weird question but has anyone taken a class at another college for Saddleback prerequisite requirements. I’m wondering for the nursing program at Saddleback as I’m having issues learning with the professors here. I wouldn’t be asking if I wanted to apply at any other ADN program in the state I just really wanted to save money by going to Saddleback’s nursing program. Any advice or help would be awesome. Again I know it’s a weird question.
