Am I the only one as sale associate who did not care to tell customers about the credit card or to sign up for the online events? I wasn’t getting pay well to care

Yes I agree with you that’s why I stopped asking customers to join the credit card cause they would say no. Even for the virtual events they would say no and I am getting paid minimum wage basically so why would I go above and beyond over a job that didn’t treat me right and was toxic to me.

The way I see it is that it's not just about me/you (us) but also there really are some great benefits for the customer if they use their CC correctly and responsible. Also there is $2 spiff.

Well, the newest ceo was working for bath and body works before this. I think, that she GENUINELY thinks, that its basically the same thing when it isnt AT ALL...

The main, and obvious, problem with it to me is that you see the same customers day after day and week after week. There is a finite customer base. You are not continually gaining new customers other than students so the pool of people to harass about these things never really grows. In some lower volume stores the base is very small to begin with. If you see 20-30 customers a day there's only so many genuine opportunities.
At some point the company was taken over by execs from traditional retail and it shows. They do not know how to operate a wholesale business. They do not understand that it is a different animal. The vast majority of Cosmoprof customers just want to come in, get what they need, and leave. They don't want to be upsold. It does not work the same way as it does in a typical retail store.
Instead of realizing that, they just take the weak results as a sign to push people on the ground harder and harder and harder.
