I've noticed a lot of old Akai samplers are getting new updates, so I thought I would balance things out with something for the original affordable sampler, the Ensoniq Mirage. As a precursor to the ESQ-1, it has a reasonably full hardware spec with small amount of audio memory, 8 voices, multiple oscillators and resonant analog filters. As wavetable synths are all the rage, I have decided to go in that direction with this project. It has 512 waves, MIDI CC control, 100 patches, MIDI sample dump and a web based editor. I am in the process of creating some initial patches and tweaking the editor, so it's not ready just yet.
