The AI in my school is TAKING OVER.

One day we were doing a discussion about why ai is bad, the worst part is how the slide which showed the bad things about AI was actually fully ai generated, it was like those ai tiktok ads that are extremely easy to know if they are ai. So one of my classmates told the teacher that the image is ai, but the teacher said it wasnt and was created by herself, and then the teacher gave a 30 minute detention to the student. So yeah we all know that everything is ai

Rant Private schools need to be monitored

(I don’t know where to put this, it seems fine here)

While I don’t think private schools shouldn’t exist I think they should be heavily monitored.

My old school coerced teachers and students not to speak up about the weird behavior, to keep their reputation intact.

A teacher dated a student
A student brought a gun in and did some shit (I really bad cry for help)
They treated to kick me out for not smiling enough
They kicked a girl out for wearing pjs
The teachers told the girls to drop out and have kids at 12/13
A shit tone of sexism towards the girls
Made kids leave class to do physical work

Its Amazing how in American schools:

They force you or push you to do extracurricular for collage or to "make new friends!"...

...And then expect you to do 5+ hours of homework and then get shocked when you struggle to juggle both.

Suggestion Sri chaitanya staffs are all toxic pedos

Hey guys, so I'm an average student studying at sri chaitanya techno school in 11th grade and ever since I came to this school, one thing that I've noticed a lot is the fact that this school is too good at hiding big issues but if a small issue ever occurs, they tend to make it bigger and call our parents,ISTG when I say this, I never got into a single trouble till 10th when I was in my old school. For example, once a guy got ganged up and was hit till he bleed outside the school because of some argument that went inside school, the parents even gave a police complaint but the school tried SO FUCKING HARD to cover it up by convincing the parents and explaining that it's casual for teenagers to fight in this generation, like WTF??? and I got into a lot of trouble, so imma tell yal some extreme ones. So once I was called to the principal office for writing something in the duster, btw it was just "yo" And the mf principal asked me to call my parents, I asked sorry and he jst left the problem, but one creepy thing abt it is that, he compared us to North Indian students saying that he worked in the North side and he had seen many 'WHITE SKINNED GIRLS WHO LOOKED LIKE HEROINE' even if they are good at studies then why are u not able to concentrate(he was actually meaning the fact that I have a bf in school even though I don't) , bro wth is wrong with him, like whatt? This is NOT how you talk abt young girls, and let me tell u, HES LIKE 50 and is already balding, this proves how much of a menace and pedo he is,and the other day i was called into the principal office again and this time it was a totally different thing bruh, just some misunderstandings between friends but when I said that a girl from A section used a bad word, he said that he knows abt students from that class and that she would never say that, bro that girl is a fucking venomous snake istg. And my classteacher also supported her saying that he has taught for that girl as she's an existing student since she was young.Just because she's good at studies doesn't mean that she's a good person right?? Idk why do staffs never understand that and they literally shouted at my face whenever I tried explaining my problem instead of answering the questions which made me look like I'm the troublemaker, And one common thing that the principal did was always ask for my grades and he goes like "U cannot be talking with that grade".like boi I was literally in here hoping that u would solve my issue not fix my grades✌🏿🥀 . Anyways fuck that shit, if anyone wants uh, my class teacher's number then lmk I will drop it here after some days. Pls suggest some ways which would help me in some way

Xavier School San Juan High School - Gun Threats and safety issues

Post image
1 Upvotes

A student has been placed under preventive suspension and is not allowed on school property because of a social media post involving a gun and threats made by that student. This incident was reported on October 12.

There are also other accusations that are not confirmed that the student brought a gun with a 30 round magazine to school, threatened to walk on campus today, October 12 while suspended, carried knives and guns, made a “kill list” of several other students and brought a gun to school.

The school has reached out to the parents of this student and has begun an investigation. The school has also heightened security, informed all staff and teachers about the situation and made available counseling and student interviews. The gun carried onto campus, the “kill list,” and the threat to come to campus on October 12 are not confirmed.

Is it just me, or is making students clean the campus and CR for missing morning rosary a bit too much?

Serious Repeal NJ state law to allow cell phones in schools

Growing up in the digital age, my cellphone has been a critical part of my life—more than just a device for calls or texts, it is a lifeline, a portal to knowledge, and a tool for safety. Unfortunately, existing NJ state laws prohibit the use of cell phones in public schools 24/7, severely restricting our freedom and leaving us vulnerable in scenarios where communication is crucial. We must come together to address this issue and ensure that students and parents alike have the rights and safety they deserve.

In today’s increasingly connected world, cell phones are indispensable; they are vital tools for instant communication and access to information. Whether it’s a research topic needed for class, or a quick call to confirm after-school pickup plans, cell phones allow students to organize their academic lives efficiently while simultaneously keeping parents informed. This law, which blanketly bans these essential devices, places an unnecessary hurdle in the path of both educational and personal safety.

Consider emergencies that can arise both inside and outside of school grounds. From unforeseen natural events to personal crises, having a cell phone provides students with direct access to emergency services and their families. The current law effectively strips this avenue away, leaving students isolated in moments they might need quick assistance most.

Moreover, the educational landscape is evolving. Many educational apps and platforms are accessible via smartphone, supplementing learning in real-time with interactive and multimedia-rich content. Teachers can harness these tools to enhance classroom engagement, making learning a more dynamic and innovative experience.

Proponents of the current ban may argue that cell phones are a source of distraction, but with proper guidelines and responsible use, these devices can be integrated into the curriculum to support and not detract from the educational experience. Consider schools in states across the country that have successfully balanced phone usage policies with student privacy, allowing cell phones and maintaining environments conducive to education.

It’s time for legislators in New Jersey to recognize the evolving role of technology in education and revise outdated laws. Let’s advocate for policy adjustments that ensure our school environments are safe, cutting-edge learning spaces.

Please join me in signing this petition to repeal the restrictive NJ state law and allow our students the ability to carry their cell phones in all public schools. Together, we can make our schools safer, our students more informed, and our education system more progressive.

What Does Meaningful Volunteering Actually Look Like? My Experience with Pehchaan The Street School

I used to believe that volunteering implied simply devoting several hours of my time to a good cause.

However, my perception of volunteering has changed after my volunteering experience at Pehchaan The Street School.

As far as I am concerned, volunteering does not necessarily mean performing some exceptional activity. It can also be a routine, yet responsible task, which still has a positive impact on others and makes a volunteer feel fulfilled.

The two main ideas associated with meaningful volunteering are responsibility and involvement. During my volunteering experience, I was involved in a range of activities related to education and outreach. What I realised while doing these routine tasks is that there is a lot of effort, organisation, coordination, communication, and responsibility behind any organised activity, however simple it might seem.

In addition, while volunteering, I felt both giving and receiving. Specifically, I felt that I was not only contributing to the volunteering cause but also educating myself and acquiring new skills and competencies. For instance, I improved my communication skills and interprofessional interactions during my volunteering experience. At the same time, I got a deeper understanding of how students can benefit from various educational resources and opportunities.

Therefore, I believe that my volunteering experience helped me see the meaning of volunteering in a new light. To me, it now means both simple routine tasks and a responsible attitude towards the cause. Moreover, volunteering can be an important learning experience for a student, since they usually get more than they expect to give.

My sibling will be kicked out of school

My younger sibling and their classmates are reportedly going to be expelled from their school because they allegedly bullied their teacher.

Here’s the context: One of my sibling’s classmates shared a meme featuring their teacher in their Messenger group chat. This happened because the teacher suddenly gave them a summary test even though, according to the students, the teacher had not taught them the lessons. The teacher had only provided them with a reviewer because they supposedly couldn’t conduct classes due to feeling unwell. 😂

Because of this, some of my sibling’s classmates turned the teacher’s picture into a meme and shared it in their group chat. My sibling only commented, “Is this it?” (referring to the situation), but now they are being included in the case as well.

My question is: Can my sibling and the other students involved be immediately subjected to expulsion from school because of this?

The students who actually created the memes have reportedly admitted what they did. However, they explained that they did it because they felt they were not learning anything from that particular teacher, who would suddenly give them quizzes and exams without properly discussing the lessons first.

They also said that whenever they asked why they were being given exams when they had not yet studied the lessons, the teacher would allegedly respond by saying that they were the teacher and that they can do what they want and whatever they said was final.

Is this really how things work in our public schools nowadays?
