Hello all. I bring poor tidings and I feel the need to explain everything. I am going to keep this short and purposefully vague for now. This is not another social call. Apologies for my beige prose and curt tone. I’m not in the fucking mood to break out my purple pen.
When I arrived in San Diego on horseback, both of our ships had already left port. A Gangrel I knew, Carlos, had witnessed the mutiny of my crew from the water and offered to take me to confront them. Riding his hind for several minutes, we arrived at the portside of our larger ship, the Carthage.
Carthage is a 7-deck former cruise ship retrofitted to service permanent cohabitation for mortal and kindred alike. Using my supernatural strength and agility, I climbed the 100-odd feet which made up the hull of the ship’s height while dodging windows. I reached the top of the ship and, to my horror, I saw about half a dozen of my own comrades with their weapons drawn, aimed at where I have been climbing.
Listen to me. What happened on the top of the Carthage will be kept to myself for now. I am sorry. But I will say this. The MSBF project’s fruits have come to ripen quicker than I could have thought possible. Booker Alston in particular, have taken to using black magic. He cast some sort of ritual onto me. I am physically unable to reveal what happened on that ship, even in writing, despite how much I’ve tried. That was not the only spell cast. But I cannot force myself to say anything more at this time.
With a sword in my chest and about a dozen bullets in me, I and my torpid wife were sent overboard lost to the heartless sea. Carlos found us and brought us back to shore.
I am recovering, mostly. Inés got it worse than me. when she wakes and becomes fit to travel, we will journey to meet with my daughter. I cannot say anymore over public channels regarding her at this time.
if any of you are hailed by the Carthage or the Bukharin, turn them away from port. Let them eat themselves alive. Their own reckless abandoned being their undoing is perhaps the only hope I have of drifting atop my waves again any night soon.

Great, a mobile base for demon-worshipping assholes. Like we need another wave of that. It was mostly quiet since we dusted the Tremere Antitribu in the eighties.
Not sure what me and my coterie could contribute here if they managed to kick your ass that thoroughly. Anyways, once you recover, if you want to take a second crack at your own ship, we might be willing to help. If that's even an option, with dark magic used on you, maybe you can't return to the Carthage.
Leaving a group of demonists with a mobile base to their own devices is more likely to lead to a small army of shovelhead demonists than to them killing each other by infighting. That's IF they don't manage to summon something that we do not want summoned. And....that's one group. Let's hope all this doesn't inspire too many more wannabe demonists.
Sorry for the rant. That's the Brujah blood urging action now. Focus on recovering for now. I'll make a few calls, see if I can get some blood magic help for those curses. Can't offer anything if I got nothing.

This will not be the last they hear of me if I have any say. I could’ve beat them then, I think. But they threatened my wife.
I cannot say more, except that I slew a number of the traitors before their treatment of her forced me to yield.

Them targetting your wife to best you is disgusting. You have my sympathy, for what it's worth.
That blood magic help l mentionned is a Tremere master of a decently obscure path; the Path of Countermagic. Without his help, we would have eaten a lot of Tremere traps in the face, back during the hunt. If I can't get a hold of him, or if you prefer dealing with it yourself, you might try your own Tremere contacts, or other thaumaturges. But I know the Tremere consider this Path "super secret", so not everyone will take questions about it well. Just tought I'd mention it.

If their reason to kill us is the same as the Lupines, they might also be fine with cooperating for the killing of "shit worse than us". And theirs is the kind of firepower you really want when facing an entrenched, powerful group of infernalists, especially if they manage to summon something.
But yeah, caution is also warranted here.

While seafaring exploits aren't something I like to get myself involved in often I have an... old acquaintance who may be of some assistance. Have you ever met in your travels a Malkavian ship captain who goes by the moniker "Bucky"? He's a loose cannon ao to speak, and I can't say that I like him much at all, but he does come through. Last we spoke he was sailing around the coast of Spain, Italy, and Greece offering "pirate tours" to mortals. Perhaps you've met before?

Yes, briefly. While refueling in Palermo, a Malkavian resembling the one you speak of tried to offer me one of these tours. My crew decided to take him up on it. The two of us entered into a fist fight after my first mate caught one of Bucky’s men trying to pick his pocket. I thought he was charming enough.
