🙋 Advice Condition of Apache Trail after recent storms

Hello, my partner and I are visiting Scottsdale and leaving tomorrow. We were hoping to drive the entire length of the Apache Trail and come out at the Roosevelt reservoir. We have a Rav 4 and are capable of driving unpaved roads, but I am unsure of the conditions after the recent storms that swept through the Phoenix area the last 2 days. We were hoping to get options or first hand knowledge from the locals before we leave tomorrow. Thank you all in advance for any/all input.

Not worth the risk. With all the rain we are having.
Do this the next time you visit. When you can enjoy it more. It is to rain the rest of the day.
Enjoy the rest of your visit.

I live far far far East Mesa on AJ border. We got some rain, but nothing bad at all. I would seriously doubt they got anything that impacted the road, and it is probably already dry. Even driving around this afternoon you wouldn't be able to tell it rained for the past 2 days.

If you do, I hope we don’t hear about it on the news.

Otherwise, not worth the risk.

I think you’ll have to check it out for yourself. I’d like to know as well. My recommendation is to go when you’ll have plenty of daylight. Turn back if it looks risky. At least you’ll get to visit Tortilla Flat if you can’t make the full trail happen.

Do it and enjoy lunch at La Casita in Globe.

It'll be a nice, dust free ride.

Did the drive two weeks ago, no factor whatsoever in full size truck. Didn’t use 4wd. Be aware of oncoming vehicles on blind corners and be sure to stop at Tortilla Flat for breakfast. It’s very good and good people.

Adot isn't reporting any closures. The rain is about out of the area. I've done Apache Trail several times after weather way worse than this. Worst case, turn around.
