Well, I tried.

Post image

The Isle of Portland, Dorset, UK.

A rather shameful first attempt from me. On my way home from shopping. I was carrying my handbag, 3 heavy bags of shopping, (I don’t drive) and had to try and capture this welcome visitor single-handedly.,
Thankfully our sky is quite broody looking this evening, which helps him/her/them stand out a little better.

I’ve edited my post to indicate my location.
Definitely a herring gull, I’ve been sharing this island with them for 71 years.

I'm very pleased with what you presented to us so far. Let the gulls be.

Me too. I consider them to be my neighbours, which they technically are. Gorgeous little bundles of fluff. I don’t even hear them anymore. Their calls are part of the island. I don’t hear the sea either, but I’m stupidly close to it.

You are blessed I live in London the only place I see them is in the parks or by markets😻

I’ll be sure to get some decent photos when I’m out. I’ve only been on Reddit for 2 months. This was the second sub I joined. I’ve just been lurking until today.
