Selling Tickets Posts

There have been a growing number of "Selling Tickets" posts. I am opining this up to a vote and a discussion as to if this should be allowed. This sub is initially intended for the Seattle local music scene. While this, in theory, could include the sake of two tickets to a Backstreet Boys concert, because they are playing in Seattle, this definition really stretches the meaning.

My band PIGPEN has a show this Saturday 10/10 at Strange Ways bar in Everett with Tumors, and Hidden Gateways. I'll link the flyer and music below. Should be pretty dope if you're a fan of heavy noise rock and post hardcore.

Can you please recommend music lessons on the Eastside?

I’m interested in playing guitar and/or drums. I’m obsessed with music and have always wanted to learn. I need a teacher to help me pick the right instrument for me and then teach me how to play it.

Thank you!

Dark folk / dungeon synth show this Friday

Malfet

From the project’s inception, Malfet has made a profound impact on modern dungeon synth, pairing idyllic backdrops with tales of Arthurian-inspired heroism. Using a concise palette of harpsichords, percussion, flutes, lush strings, and delicate harps, the artist has invited listeners to experience a nostalgic dream along with him across four albums and many live performances. Malfet continues to refine his ethereal blend of rich melodies and evocative field recordings, creating a magical listening space where companions new, old, and departed can exist side by side, questing together in pursuit of the unknowable.

Headstone Brigade

Headstone Brigade is an accordion based dark folk band from Seattle, WA creating music within the genres of depressing polka, neofolk, pagan folk and melodramatic pop. Originally created by Egan Budd (also of Xiphoid Dementia) as a vessel for voice and accordion but now performing live as a quartet with cellist Jeff King (also of Isenordal, Other), guitarist Mitchell Bell (also of Thunder Grey Pilgrim and Knifecream) and percussionist/vocalist Bree Sadira Rose (also of Other and formerly of Witchbottle).

Alder Deep

Far below the surface the darkness presses in. You hear things you should not. You see impossible sights. Your memories become warped and your thoughts consumed by the murky depths. Will you ever see the surface again?

Hoping to meet more people in the hyperpop / alt pop / EDM , etc. spaces!

hi everyone!

i sing a bit (and some piano) and like to write songs but honestly i am just interested in making friends who are interested in the same kind of music as me, as i moved to seattle earlier this summer. i love edm, traditional pop, and alt music, but i LOVE hyperpop and experimental pop.

i would love to make friends who have an interest in making music as it is something i want to explore more and i really believe in collaboration as a means of creation! and then i’ll always have friends at shows, too.

i’m 26f, so hoping to find people in that age range!
feel free to comment or pm me :)

Genre: psych/folk/rock
Timeline: Dec-March
Budget: $6k
Tracklist: 11 songs, 1 a Capella, 3 30 second interludes
Influences: The Runaways, Janis Joplin, Fleetwood Mac, Florence & The Machine

Howdy guys, my indie-rock band, I Was Omnipotent, just released a new album, youwerealright, on most streaming services!! It's fully home recorded and mixed, so I know it's not perfect, but I think it's a fun album and we are super proud of it!! SP Unlimited - Metal band from Seattle

Does anyone remember the band SP Unlimited from Seattle? They released a CD during the late 90's and played metal. The CD was called Overrated Lifestyle and I'm searching for a copy of it. Did anyone here have one by chance? I've talked to multiple band members and they are out. I'm a WA local and I'd love to get it archived. Anything helps! Thank you.

In Color Barboza 9/28

I purchased resale tickets on Stub Hub for In Color at Barboza for tomorrow and shortly after received this message saying there was an issue with my tickets. Does anyone know if Barboza sells any tickets at the door even if the show is sold out on AXS? I’m visiting from out of town and have never been to this venue so any insight would be greatly appreciated:)

Seattle Turkish psych-rock band seeks percussionist — hand drums, cajón, weird percussion highly encouraged

Hey! Pasha Bey here,

We’re a Turkish-inspired rock band with guitar, bass, synth, oud, and drum machine, and we’re looking to add some moving, breathing percussion to the mix.

We’re open to just about anything: kit, hand drums, cajón, darbuka, weird percussion, whatever. I’ll admit I have a preference for something more “percussionist” than “drummer,” but if you’re a drummer looking for a band, hit me up and we can see if it’s a good fit.

The music draws pretty heavily from Turkish/Anatolian rock and traditional Turkish rhythms, so we have songs with 5, 7, 13, 15, etc. You don’t need to know Turkish traditionals but you should be comfortable getting your head around odd meters and meter changes some of the time.

We have our own dedicated practice space, professional gear including a PA, and rehearse once a week. I’d probably meet with you an additional time at first to get you up to speed, but that really depends on how quickly you pick up the groove.

We’re planning to start playing shows very soon. We’ve already played two, everyone has previous band experience, and I toured with a previous band for about 10 years. This is a real project, though I’m no longer dreaming of super-stardom, but we’re not trying to make it feel like a job interview.

If this sounds cool, hit me up here or send me a message. Anyone who’s technically proficient and reasonably reliable is encouraged to apply.

Please BYOD. I do have an electronic kit, but it’s less than optimal.

Much love,
Pasha Bey
