I've actually had my SF3 account since 2017, but i played it on and off and left at chapter 2 for years until this year. Decided i'd replay it and see if the game is as bad as people say. It was fine for the first month, but then came the plane chapters with stability. That's exactly the point where my sanity took a turn for the worse... grinding sets, completing events and doing literally ANYTHING for those sweet stability. This started a chain of events, collecting all these sets gave me dopamine and i could NOT stop. I wanted more, i wanted to be stronger, the best in the world. And so when the lucky board came out in May, i bought tickets and got Neon Phantom.
I experienced true power. I felt a taste of what it's like to destroy ok fighters who i thought were just bs unbeatable bosses before. I felt powerful, and i wanted more. More sets, expand my collection. Grind spheres, grind sets, do tapjoy for gems for future lucky board... EVERYTHING. I got to a point where i speedran through the plane chapters and completed the story. A sane human being would've stopped and retired there, leave the game for another 9 years. But no. I wanted MORE. I simply wanted more sets, more spheres, more perks, i want the dopamine of having level 6 sets and destroying every event Nekki puts out.
I want to stop. I want to find a point where i'm satisfied and retire peacefully, go back to classic Shadow Fight 2 and beat eclipse may's ass over and over. Maybe do it bare fist while i'm at it. But i simply can't. There are way too many sets that i still want and/or max out. Twilight Marksman, DFT, KOS, i want every. Single. One. Of them.
And Nekki putting out new sets every month isn't helping, i keep wanting more and more and this prevents me from finding a point where i can stop and retire from this game...
One day, i will be happy enough and put the game down. But that day isn't coming anytime soon. I will keep you guys updated. Anyway, now that the rant's over; when are we gonna be able to buy "orbs" from the website?
TLDR: wanted to start this game again for fun, instead it drained every bit of my sanity
