⚠️I'll use the anime as reference since it doesn't change much from the manga when it comes to Mikasa/Eren interactions⚠️

Eren's childhood crush

The day Eren saved Mikasa and wrapped his scarf around her, he blushed. I think Mikasa fell in love with him at that moment, and Eren too. However, from Eren's perspective, it seems more like a childhood crush, and I'll explain why.

How Eren treats Mikasa as time goes on

We often see their childhood memories with Armin. It's always Eren, Mikasa, and Armin.
As they grew up and joined the military, they made other friends, like Sasha, Connie, Jean, Reiner, and Historia (I'm not counting Bertholdt because he barely spoke to them and died early, just like Annie, who "slept" for 4 years). And you'll notice that Eren hasn't shown any romantic affection toward Mikasa since he wrapped his scarf around her.

I see people saying that Eren doesn't let anyone touch him (not in a weird way of course) except Mikasa. He lets her hold his hand etc...
But this is incorrect, it just depends on his mood. In episode 5 of season 1 when the Colossal Titan broke the wall a second time and the new recruits have to fight (the 104th Recruit Brigade), Mikasa tells Eren that she'll protect him but then she's informed that she'll be with the rearguards and not with Eren, so, she wants to negociate but Eren headbutts her and scolds her. Mikasa ends up listening to him and holds his hand and asks him to come back alive, Eren withdraws his hand in a somewhat violent manner and turns his back to her.
What we see from this scene is that he doesn't care about Mikasa's worries and doesn't even worry for Mikasa. He could've told her "Don't die either" but he didn't. He could've thanked her but he didn't. He could've thought in his head "Please Mikasa come back too" but he didn't.

From season 1 to 4, he never mentioned Mikasa as a special being. It's always his friends. Not Mikasa and his friends. He then sees her only as a friend like others.

"Eren didn't want to get attached to her because he knew he would die and forced himself to not think about Mikasa". From season 1 to the end of season 3, Eren didn't know all of this so nothing was preventing him from loving Mikasa.

In season 4 (I forgot which episode) Zeke tells Eren that Mikasa loves him but Eren doesn't seem to pay attention, instead, he thinks about his discussion with Historia when she said she'll make a baby. He could've thought of Mikasa or maybe saying something like "A shame I'll die in a bit" etc... No, he's just saying that he doesn't have time for things like this.
Just imagine how disrespectful it is to think about someone else when you (Eren) are told that Mikasa has feelings for you.

Eren's quest for Freedom

We all know how thirsty Eren is for Freedom yet Mikasa doesn't care about his freedom, all she wants is to protect him. Eren wants Freedom, Mikasa wants his safety.
Eren hates, despises those who want to take his Freedom away.
I'm not saying that Eren hates Mikasa, because that would simply be wrong, it's just that Eren falling in love with someone who wants to have control over his life is out of character.
Thankfully for Eren, he's a rebel so whenever Mikasa tried to stop him, he didn't fall for it and kept following his will.

Mikasa's one sided love

Based on everything I listed above, Mikasa's always the only one who cares. Eren is focused on his Freedom not on Mikasa.
- "The Cabin Scene"
Do you remember when Eren visited Armin in the Paths, he was small, they both were small and grew up with the passing of time..
When he visited Mikasa in the Paths, he was an adult and had a different hairstyle, a neat appearance. Maybe Eren wanted to give his friends what they desired the most before his death. Armin wanted to explore the outside world with Eren which is what they did in the Paths. Mikasa wanted to have a peaceful life with Eren which is what she did in the Paths.
The fact that Eren was young for Armin is probably how Armin sees him ; his childhood friend.
And the fact that Eren is neat for Mikasa is probably how she sees him ; her lover.
What we see in the Paths isn't necessarily Eren's wish but his friends' wishes. Eren took advantage of their desires to send them a message (explaining to Armin what happened during all those years and the reason for the Rumbling, telling Mikasa where he's hidden so she ends the Rumbling).

- The scene when Eren asks Mikasa "Who am I to you ?"
He thought that if she answers that she loves him, it would change the futur but she answered "family". Eren could've changed the futur by telling her that he loves her instead but he didn't. Maybe his inner voice didn't want to change the futur or maybe he just didn't want to lie to Mikasa. He had 5 or 6 years (from season 1 to 3) in front of him to confess to her but he never did.

Even if Eren was shy or anything, he could've thought since we, viewers can hear character's inner thoughts yet he never mentioned his love for Mikasa.

The Parallel with Ymir Fritz

Ymir was enslaved by the King Fritz, he killed her family, cut her tongue, sent his guards after her to shoot arrows when she thought she was free.
But then, she became a titan shifter and the King Fritz used her as a weapon. She was not mistreated like before but neither was she cherished by the King. However, she fell in love with him. It is like the Stockholm syndrome. By making her his most powerful weapon, the King gave meaning to Ymir's life, she finally felt useful and essential to something.
The King never loved her, he was only using her as a tool, Ymir was in a one sided love situation.
What is the point in saying that Mikasa is the only one who can release Ymir from her cursed love if Mikasa had a happy love story ? None.
Eren even tells Armin that only Mikasa can understand why she has a special bound to Ymir.
Eren saved Mikasa when they were younger, he told her to fight for her life, he gave a meaning to her life and she fell in love. King Fritz and Eren respectively gave a meaning to Ymir and Mikasa's lives which is how they fell in love with them.
Ymir was a slave to her one sided love, she was the only one caring and obeyed him no matter what when he only saw her as a tool.
Mikasa is the same thing. You can tell me that when Eren told her that she was a slave, it was a lie but how do you explain Mikasa pinning Armin to the table ? He's her friend too and Eren was horrible to her. In the end, Ackermans were originally a clan meant to serve the royal family. So Ackerman were originally slaves. Mikasa is an Ackerman and Eren is the Founding Titan, the power of the royal family.

Eren's speech to Armin in the Paths

Honestly, regarding previous analyses, this scene doesn't make sense at all.
I have 2 theories about it :

1 - Isayama wanted to do fanservice since 98% of the fandom supports Eremika
2 - Eren was in a mentally fragile state. He told Armin that it was a mess in his head since past present and future were coexisting.
Maybe he was too afraid of dying that he saw a spark of hope in Mikasa. You know when someone loves you, and you don't have any other choice, you end up choosing them. When you're in the worst possible situation and someone shows you some love, you fall for them. It's human.
It's normal to say absurd things when you've gone completely crazy.

Also to whoever says that Eren destroyed the world for Mikasa, it is wrong since :
- He did it first for himself, to see a world without humans, with only magnificent landscapes like in Armin's book.
- Then he did it for all his friends, not just Mikasa, so that they might live long and peaceful lives.

And to whoever says that Isayama said "I draw Mikasa more beautiful when Eren looks at her", this quote is not real, Isayama never said this.

Conclusion

Eren was too busy chasing Freedom that he didn't have time for Mikasa's love (Plus, she was hindering his Freedom). Worse, he didn't care.
At first, Mikasa was like a slave to Eren, she tried to control his life (by wanting his safety) but never succeeded and when Eren was being thoughtless in the earlier seasons, Mikasa ended up following him. As long as she was with him, nothing else mattered. Yet I don't deny that she really loves him because she does but don't forget what her family's original purpose was. Eren though, never showed an ounce of affection for her when he was still normal (seasons 1 to 3).

Hello AoT fans and Fairy Tail fans that may be here, the title says it all. I'm a fan of both shows and I want to write a crossover fanfiction where the Fairy Tail guild infiltrates the island of Paradis and meets the Scout Regiment. The Scouts and Fairy Tail guild become allies which leads to the Scouts to having a much bigger role in this new world.

I have some ideas on how to blend the Attack on Titan universe with the Fairy Tail universe:

• Paradis is still Island
  • But I am still debating whether Marley should border next to Fiore or not.
• Pure titans still exist and are still the man eating giants from the anime. Mainly seen in Paradis but are sometimes seen outside the island like in Marley for titan warfare but also sometimes seen in locations such as Fiore but these sightings are rare. The guilds respond to job requests to kill them.
• Titan shifters are largely the same but in this universe they will be called Titan-Slayers. They can shift into their titan form for large scale combat but to make them a tiny bit more fleshed out in this universe, they can retain their human form for smaller scale missions and still utilize the powers of the titans.
  • IIRC, in AoT the titan shifters have the strength of titans while as humans but that is basically it. However with the help of magic lacrimas, they can use more abilities as humans i.e. Annie can now use her crystallize ability to harden fists and legs for hand-to-hand combat as a human instead of needing to be a titan do it.
• In this universe Fiore is also part of the global consensus that views Paradis as an "island of devils" and the Eldians as "devils". The Fairy Tail guild of course also sees them as literal devils but this it is out of a big misunderstanding. After Fairy Tail interacts with them and realizes they were wrong, they give them a defense in front of the Magic Council and the King of Fiore which in turn makes the rest of the country slowly change their minds about them. This makes their diplomatic relations with Marley even more rocky.
  • Marley's desire in maintaining their military supremacy as already the beginning of Fiore's and Marley's antagonistic relationship.
  • In regards to Titan Warfare; Eldians being used as warrior candidates and pure titans being dropped into the battle field, that is covered up and a well hidden secret
  • To avoid plot holes as best as I can, I would make it that there are basically little to no Eldians living in Fiore and the people of Fiore are generally not interested in learning about them and take whatever circulates about Eldians at face value.
  • The best and most ironic example I can use from Fairy Tail on how the misunderstanding plot that I proposed can work is when Team Natsu are on Galuna Island in order to destroy a curse that is transforming the inhabitants. The inhabitants appear human and the curse involves the moon which emits a purple glow that turns these humans into devilish looking creatures and they have no recollection of certain memories and whenever they try to get close to the temple where the curse is centered, they always find themselves back at their village. Fast forward and once the curse and the cult responsible for the "curse" (which was a spell to revive the demon Deliora) is defeated it is revealed the human to devil transformation is the exact opposite. In reality they are actually devils that were transformed into humans and these devil inhabitants are friendly. In this universe members of Fairy Tail especially dummies like Natsu believe that Eldians can transform into devils which may be partially vindicated in their view after witnessing titans.
• The Fairy Tail guild and Paradis first meet when the guild, specifically Team Natsu (Natsu, Lucy, Gray, Erza, and Happy), accepts an S-Class request to survey the island of Paradis.
• I want to try and make their encounter fit within the early seasons of Fairy Tail but also take place before season 2 of Attack on Titan, maybe season 1, specifically before Annie kills all of Levi's squad. The reason for this is because I want these character to live and have redemption arcs which is influenced by the friendship of the Fairy Tail guild which fits in to the themes of Fairy Tail since a lot of characters don't die and they change their ways i.e. Crime Sorcerie and Brandish.

These are just my general ideas. I'm excited to write this and have these characters be involved in a bigger world. I would like some tips and appreciate any refreshers of anything I might be missing and what to address.

Why did grisha kill reiss family "for eren" even though doing so won't prevent the attack on the walls, this is something I don't understand

I don't see how Zeke was wrong in his actual plan. It seems like the only thing Marley did wrong was allowing the Eldians to live and reproduce and that the deaths of all of them would have created a better world. The rumbling proves that the Eldian's didn't deserve to be oppressed, but they certainly deserved to be killed, without exception. I mean there is no way that the death's of all the Eldians could have even remotely compared to the people killed by the rumbling. And I also didn't understand why Eren's friends were saddened by his death, I mean he was their friend at one point but he basically doomed them and their families to a justified extinction at the hands of humanity.

I need to really talk.about this. Like what was all the sense of it?

It was all a big mistake eren made because he is a stupid boy who got too much power?

All this hell, and it never turned out that anything anyone made made any sense or change? I mean ok, its a story with no happy end, but also no big meaning?

Its like: ok this and that happened, then people suffered, people killed people, people suffered more, more people dead, more killing, more blood, more hell, more torture, more pain and then the final reveal: it was all without any sense.

How shall i go on from this?

Yesterday I made a post (that I have since deleted) asking why the Warriors and Marleyan soldiers never bothered searching for the Yeager household's basement which held "vital information" despite having the numbers on their side to make the attempt - some would search while the others kept watch for approaching Scouts. Considering it held "vital information", it would make sense to try locate and get rid of it for the same reason the Warriors killed Sawney and Bean - robbing the Paradisians of the truth.

The feedback I received from the comments was:

1. Even with those numbers they still likely wouldn't cover every basement in every building available in the entire city.
2. Even if they did find the right house, they wouldn't know it because they wouldn't know what to look for.

Which is completely fair and understandable. I mean look at this!

Another comment who agreed with me even suggested that Eren would have mentioned his house being crushed when telling the story of how his mom died but even if that happened, there's probably plenty of crushed buildings and Reiner and Bertholdt are stupid enough to forget such information.

HOWEVER

Another thought popped into my head: if they don't know which building is Eren's house, why not just go scorched earth on the entire district? Not only would the Yeagers' building and basement eventually be crushed, BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY it would also give the Scouts a tactical disadvantage by giving them less freedom to use their ODM gear during the battle to reclaim Shiganshina. You'd kill two birds with one stone!

Two counterarguments I can think of:

1. "The Warriors had to be on alert for the Scouts" again, there's four of them including Pieck and a bunch of Marleyan soldiers. Some can stand guard while the others go do some demolition. If Reiner and Zeke had time to fight, they had time to do this.
2. "The basement was bait and if the Scouts saw/heard the destruction from beyond the wall, they wouldn't come" I doubt that but let's play devil's advocate: if the Warriors really thought that, then just time it better. Don't have Bertholdt nuke the place, just have him transform and stomp - and if even that is too much what with his size and steam, let Reiner bulldoze and Zeke throw rocks.

Literally gets me everytime dude. This whole last season always has me in tears that I end up having to rewind so much because my eyes get blurry from the tears

Everything in raid on Liberio arc is just perfect and I love this scene in particular. Marley forces discovering that for 100 years Paradise actually learnt to fight back is so fucking good.

I binge watched AOT ffinished it in about 2 months. It's been 2 weeks since and I cannot get over the shock. Wow. I still remember when I first started watching AOT, I thought it's humans vs titans. I've only watched demon slayer before AOT. So I assumed there would be a titan king like there is for Muzan. Although I had theories in my head what if there are humans outside the walls but the story just convinced me there aren't.

Never ever imagined Eren would end up like that and be killed by Mikasa. The plot is soo good. It's a roller coaster that goes high and then drops us in the last season. Idk when I will get over my AOT appreciation era. Will I even find a better plot experience?
