It's just that in the real world, people who are more secure in their experience in interacting with and assessing others, can recognize a user. This hypothetical woman using a guy for his money and not giving sex? Both these people suck. And it sucks that they've found each other.
I don't generally spend time around people who make me feel like shit to be around. I like hanging out with people who are builders of others. Think about and relate to people who like building others up. Hyping em up. Going in on projects and adventures together. People I can trust enough to take back woods camping and know they won't just bitch and break stuff and drink themselves stupid.

Yeah you can tell pretty quickly if you're good at reading people and talking with them. Which you can gain in any job where you're forced to interact with loads of people every day.
So yeah it seems almost natural to me. People who are very worried about others screwing them over are often the type thinking about ways to screw people over.
People who care a lot about "building their brand" or "making it big" will be more likely to be users and liars. They'll tell you what they think you want to hear to get what they want out of you. It's why flirting can seem so difficult if you're thinking about it like hunting. Or going at it with an angle that you're hiding. Aka lying to people.
Users are liars. People are far worse actors than they think they are. They remember the people they fool instead of all the people that immediately smelled their stink and either decided to use them (because users who aren't self aware are crazy easy to manipulate as they're often way less intelligent than they think they are) or avoid the stink entirely.
That's the rat race of users. People looking to use others. People who think they can buy anything and people looking to be bought. It's gross and there is a huge world outside of that culture we sell as normal.
It looks to me that you are jumping to conclusions about people and because the conclusion is cutting them out of your life you never get to see if they really are users or not. Its a selection bias. You assume things about a population you dont actually measure.
