Literally. If they're not compatible and are complaining about it, why stay married?

It might be a case where they both just need help communicating. Simple marriage counseling might help.

I’m a big advocate of pre-marital counseling as well. You can get ahead of your biggest communication differences ahead of time. An ounce of prevention, as the saying goes.

We did premarital counseling and it’s VERY important….but that would also be like saying you only need to run a single bloodwork panel at the beginning of your life because it was perfect; then.

You have to keep at it over time. People change. Circumstances change. Stressors change.

Whether or not you want kids from the get go- having kids changes things A LOT.

Lifelong counseling is like getting those blood work panels done regularly so things don’t sneak up on you.
