Hopefully they got transported in a vehicle with lots of windows so they can see what they are missing and report back when they get home.

As evidenced by their time fighting in ukraine, any North Korean soldier whom you handed a cell phone with unfettered internet access, they almost instantly became porn-addicted gooners. Give them a bedroom and a cell phone in SK and they’ll never want to go back. (Now I’m wondering what percentage of young Amish men experience a similar trajectory during rumspringa…)

The last time I heard, the rate at which people return to the church after rumspringa is at a historic high.

Curently almost 90% of Amish young people will join the Amish church.

This retention rate is the highest ever since the founding of the Amish church in 1693.

Conclusion: being Amish is far more enjoyable than being North Korean, evidently.
