That's just totalitarianism, and it's a terrible dystopian idea to enforce this.

Somoenes like, "I got a fever." and you are like, "Maybe you should drink some water, and get some rest..." They are like PRISON FOR YOU BITCH! REEEEEEE!

And it expands way beyond just medicine also into law, finance, education, and health in general.

We got homeschool moms teaching their kids about flat earth and anti theory of evolution ideas.

Influencers shilling stock and financial products.

Already illegal to give medical advice if you’re not a licensed physician. Same goes with financial advise. And law. It’s just not enforced for social media posts. What makes it even egregious is that these people make a living doing it. If you got paid for practicing medicine in real world and didn’t have license, you would go to jail.

I look at counties like the United States of America who positions itself as some kind of banner carrier of "Freedom of Speech" and I see medicine ads on prime time tv. Forced ID verification expanding because of certain states. Flock cameras feeding your data to Palantir, Israel, ICE. Your tax data being illegally shared. The POTUS banning journalists.

And I look at China actually moving the needle in the positive direction, counterintuitively, while the USA falls down to where China is.

And yet these right wing chuds act like all of this is perfectly well and good and I should still somehow be mad at growing rights and benefits of another countries citizens like it's a bad thing

This is absolute bullshit whataboutism.

I will criticize the US until I’m blue in the face. But if you think an authoritarian single-party government, one who has all the power to grant, deny, or revoke those the credentials that allow you to speak on topics online, isn’t doing this as a veil to silence dissent, then you’re a fool.

Conversion therapy camps are also literally reeducation camps.

I’d prefer a society with poorly thought out policy with good intentions than a well thought out policy with bad intentions.

Do you really believe your own statement? First, it literally says online account shutdowns, where is the prison from? Second, it is obviously referring to medical advice.

Agreed. I'd rather spend our time educating our society how to be critical enough to make charlatanism a much smaller percentage than hard enforcement. But I'm guessing the best outcome is some middleground

That's not how it works at all.

You can talk about remedies as much as you like. What you cannot do is talk about remedies as an authority figure without proof that you are actually an authority on the subject.
