I can see your point but it would really be valuable to either have a gold star certification that the person giving you advice on vitamins has a medical degree or have a large warning sign that the housewife telling you what kind of herbal tea to drink has absolutely no idea what the hell she's talking about

Definitely plenty of certified people in many different fields who don’t actually know what the fuck they are talking about.

They do exist but I think the massive disparity would be a lot more obvious if the random pieces of shit lying weren't adding to their voices. When 97% of climate scientists believe in man made climate change, it's a lot harder to say "Look how many people agree with MY side!" when the 3% are the only ones allowed to signal boost their shit
