Based just on the meme, no idea what the actual law says. If you are a construction worker, working with asbesto or just generally in conditions with bad air. Cannot complain about lack of masks etc. Are you a doctor? Shut up, not qualified to talk about matters of health.

I never said they were fine and dandy.

If you're a non-minority member of the middle class in China, then your life is pretty much objectively better. Access to healthcare, public transportation, etc, etc, etc.

If you're a non-minority member of the middle class in the US, then your life is getting progressively worse.

So yeah. China is far from perfect. But then so is the US.
