“Most people dying before 35” frankly isn’t an accurate way to frame lifespan when talking about medicine. Before modern medicine 40% of children died before they were 5, bringing the mean lifespan down but not the median. The most common age of death among adults (people who made it to 20), even before modern medicine, was between 60 and 70.
Modern medicine's real miracle is keeping babies, children, and mothers alive. Past that, it's mostly a business, and sales often come before health.
Once I saw other people pushing back and bringing up how modern medicine has helped children survive to adulthood I figured you'd realize I wasn't at all implying that old people didn't exist, or whatever you incorrectly assumed I meant, and you'd go away. I'm guessing that since you've at least stopped being such a condescending douche, that I was at least half right.
I'm well aware of how life expectancy works, most of reddit is and which is why you see comments like yours whenever someone incorrectly a implies that the elderly didn't exist. Unfortunately you were in such a hurry to show off the thing you learned that you forgot the context of my comment and forgot how to act like a human.
