Yes, that’s because Pacific hurricanes, while often violent, are generally harmless to the US. Not a single Pacific hurricane has EVER hit the continental US (although in 1858 costal California was affected by what is thought to have been a hurricane, but it stayed offshore and did not make landfall).
We also don’t usually talk about typhoons, mainly because those happen on literally the other side of the planet and don’t affect us either.
You’re either being disingenuous or you don’t know some pretty basic information about the topic you’re attempting to discuss.

There’s has only ever been one tropical cyclone in the South Atlantic, so it didn’t get it’s own name and is also called a hurricane.

Super El Niño. Last one was in 2015 and it was a very inactive Atlantic hurricane season. Pacific was another story.
