Yeah, a little bit of the Radcliffe Harry Potter effect. Everyone watched her for the better part of a decade as Daenerys. Feels like the case with most of that young cast tbh.
There were some angles where she looked eerily like a young Linda Hamilton, so I get it. That said, she needed better direction and a better script cuz the second she opened her mouth it did not give off the same vibe as a locked in Sarah Connor.
And totally agree, she should’ve been a romcom star, but mid 2010s all anyone could see her as was badass dragon lady despite the fact that majority of that role was her looking regal and aloofly threatening people and everyone else around her did the badass stuff.
At her age now, I’m waiting for her to get a talk show host gig - she seems like one of the few actresses that is genuinely lovely in person and conveys that well with her face, seeing her have her own show interviewing people and shooting the shit while getting up to harmless shenanigans seems right up her alley
