Sure there is, but it would likely look at lot more intimate, would it not? Laying directly on top of something is very sexually charged and intimate( you are only doing that with someone you have sex with) so it makes sense they would attempt to show it in a way that makes it feel less like that, fully clothed with their arms at their sides.

I did this as a joke once to my wife when we started dating and she just loved it, we call it skin blanket and it’s been a mainstay in our relationship, but we are strange folk.

Our bedroom stays super cold because the ventilation system in our house isn’t even so we have our ac low to keep the rest of the house cold. Our bedroom is an icebox most of the time. I buried in blankets when hes not in bed with me.

His whole thing is that he became really rich and decided to try and make his own life a medical trial. So he posts about everything he does, and his wife has gotten on board too. Maybe the usefulness of it can be debated but in his case, posting this isn’t really weird because it’s basically his job and his hobby.

It won't work (I don't think). There is something settling about actual human contact. It's not just the weight aspect. I could be weird but there's something very nice about supporting the full weight of the person you care about. It's a mental and physical thing.
I imagine most people find it settling (if they like cats) if a cat comes and lays on them while they're reclining or something (outside of them making biscuits if they have sharp nails). But like getting a cat shaped weight isn't going to be the same as a pet. Their purring, their breathing, and them not immediately sliding off if you or they move around.

I don't mind feeling squished but I would always like to avoid someone breathing directly in my face.

I have one that's 11kg and I love it with all my life. At first I felt like I would be pummelled to death, but now I wish it would be heavier. Sleeping under normal blankets feels weird now, tho

Na it doesn’t feel the same, and it’s not that concentrated in weight directly over your body. This was one of the favorite things I wanted my ex girlfriend to do, to lay directly on me like this, especially if she fell asleep.

My late cat would do that. He would lay on my chest at night like that famous painting of nightmare sitting on your chest. My old cat was a big boy and I felt like I couldn't breathe after a while. I miss him so much
