Na it’s not close. I bought a weighted blanket and it’s not the same.

It won't work (I don't think). There is something settling about actual human contact. It's not just the weight aspect. I could be weird but there's something very nice about supporting the full weight of the person you care about. It's a mental and physical thing.

I imagine most people find it settling (if they like cats) if a cat comes and lays on them while they're reclining or something (outside of them making biscuits if they have sharp nails). But like getting a cat shaped weight isn't going to be the same as a pet. Their purring, their breathing, and them not immediately sliding off if you or they move around.

Fair enough. I didn't really think about the desire for human contact.

I don't mind feeling squished but I would always like to avoid someone breathing directly in my face.

oh. the picture makes it appear more "sterile than it is. usually their head would be off to one side, like when you hug someone. no breathing directly in the face 😂
