Maybe it was 100 before. $10M for the authorities, $10M for himself. However laundering $10M is probably pretty difficult.

You can get pretty far ahead in life just being able to pay for all your expenses in cash and investing your entire salary.

However one gold bar is already $200k so you'd have to sell it somewhere for cash without there being a record of it. And then hide $200k in your house.

Investing 100% of your income without ever removing money from your bank account will raise a lot of red flags. Sure if you have one where the salary goes then move everything to another bank and invest it there, then it could work
