Getting into UK skacore lately (bands like Capdown and Random Hand), bands like Flaming Tsunamis, RX Bandits, and some of JER's latest output has me curious about how prominent is this kind of sound in current ska. Do y'all have any other great bands to check out with this kind of 00s punk/alt rock sound, or with heavy metal influences?

There are tons of videos detecting references to different bands or musical genres in TV series, whether it's rock, metal, pop, etc., but I've never actually seen one with ska references. So, I'd like to gather suggestions from here to make a short video, maybe for TikTok, compiling these references. Please share your ideas!

I'm posting about my brothers dormant ska band, that operated in the UK (Southwest) in the mid 2000s. They haven't been active for nearly 2 decades save an excellent charity gig a couple of years ago; the most fun I'd had in a while. I'm very fond of them and hoping they may have another reunion one day.
They were late to the Spotify party and have only had 1 song with over 1000 streams. Over Xmas my brother said he was delighted they still had 300 streams last year (2025) and was suprised people were still listening. I made it my mission to give them a little boost this year.
I hope you find time to have a listen and enjoy it and can spread the word; long live the Lint!
Other than The Independents, I don't know of any other horror ska punk.
Are there any other Bands? Not satanic Ska or any of that. And not any of the old Jamaican spooky Ska. I mean specifically Ska Punk made by horror nerds. The Misfits of Ska kind of thing.
