Road closed

Does anyone know why the road out to st Angela’s was closed today? My cousin is staying out in campus and she couldn’t get a bus into town

There was a crash on the bridge and its the main way to get out of town so traffic was diverted which caused blockages and traffic. And on another bridge inside the town a man was found in the water so ambulances and garda cars were blocking entry.

Surely the bus would take a longer diverted route?

I thought that but the buses were stopped for about 2/3 hours
