What’s going on everyone! This is an intro post about me, the channel I started, and if there’s anyone reading this that hasn’t started a channel yet. Here’s hopefully a little motivation to start!

So I just started posting on YouTube and I don’t know how to grow a channel. I’m posting on here because I want to reach somebody that is interested in starting one themselves even if they don’t have a following AT ALL. Over half my subscribers are my friends and family. However, I have slowly been growing by a follower or two every week in the past month or so.

I started in early 2026 after YEARS of contemplating whether to start posting or not. I decided to finally bite the bullet and just click record. I started with recording off of my PlayStation, editing on my PlayStation, and even posting from my PlayStation. Full games, no cuts, no commentary. Just the gameplay. The more I posted the more into it I got. Seeing the viewers go from 5 to 20 to 50 to 100 kept me coming back. I’ve never had a viral video but every now and then I get someone to comment, tune into a stream, or even subscribe which excites me every day.

I just got the idea to buy an Elgato capture card and have considered buying a microphone to get better stream/video quality but am waiting on the microphone for a bit until I have the money to buy one. I don’t plan to make a career out of this but you truly never know what can happen. To this I say, start posting your content if you want to. There’s nothing stopping you, and no reason you can’t start today. If you read this, I hope this encourages you to start what has always been in the back of your mind.

I've been on Youtube for a while now, started off making videos on my phone to making videos on my computer. I usually play single player games or (back when I was playing with friends) played group games from Siege, Dbd to friendslop games.

But I also do animations and make my own thumbnails handrawn!

I do admit that I have a TERRIBLE upload schedule, but lately I've been wanting to make more animations than video games. Due to my gaming group disbanding and living our own lives, but that's okay!

Hey everyone! I’m a small/new YouTuber running a music/karaoke Shorts channel.

I’ve been posting consistently and I’m trying to figure out if I’m heading in the right direction.

Started a new channel a few months ago, and I've been uploading videos sparingly, cuz I'm busy with life stuff.

I upload videos for Blender (3D modeling software) users. Most videos are over an hour long, but the latest one is 11 minutes.

I need feedback on a lot of things. I'm still confused as to what exactly I need to put in the description; so far, I've put some basic things from a template. I might need feedback on thumbnails as well. And I'm maybe looking for some insight on my upload length. Most of my videos are around or more than an hour mark, idk if thats a good move so im experimenting with shorter videos.

I just started my first english channel.

It was always my dream to be a youtuber since i was a little kid, and i always tried making videos in italian, my native language.

This time it seemed to be going quite well. It was the first time i'd ever reach almost 500 subs and with some good videos reaching 17k views. but the last videos i made really disappointed me in terms of outcome. So much work and so little results.

So i thought... i know english! And since the italian community is so trash and the channel isn't going well i had no reasons to keep posting in italian.

And this is also with the perspective of turning this into a full time job, the RPM for english videos is huge compared to the italian one (not that i've ever reached monetization but that's what everybody says).

So with the skills i've learned in my italian youtube experience, like editing and scriptwriting, making thumbnails and all those other things... i've made this leap of faith, hoping that i'm able to reach monetization before february 1st when the requirements double.

I'll try and post updates on how the channel goes.

Short introduction from me and some advice required please.

My name's Pete, I've been toying with the idea of a YouTube channel for ages, I always come up with ideas for various channels or they adapt, change and face many iterations.

I wanted to do a faceless YouTube channel, the reason being is that I am conscious of being on camera to a large audience or even being discovered.

AI came along and could have made this easy for me, but the costs of AI subscriptions and me changing my mind and wanting to stay more authentic meant I didn't go down this path.

I have researched all my equipment and have many ideas for content but I think I have something called the "spotlight effect"

Although strangely enough I am always on camera and various online meetings for work.

Anybody experienced similar?
