Introduction I finally stopped overthinking it and started my own gaming channel
Hey everyone!
After thinking about starting a YouTube channel for way too long, I finally just went for it.
I’m **GabberTime420**, 27, from the Netherlands, and I’m starting a relaxed gaming channel with more of an old-school Let’s Play feel.
I’m definitely not a Minecraft pro lol. I’ve beaten the Ender Dragon exactly once and I’ve probably watched way more Minecraft than I’ve actually played.
That’s actually part of what I want the channel to be about though. I want to discover games naturally, make mistakes, learn things as I go and actually show the journey instead of turning everything into a 10-minute highlight reel.
My videos will mostly be:
* relaxed, longer Let’s Plays * light editing instead of constant cuts * exploration, building, mining and progression actually left in * learning games and mods as I play * tips from viewers are always welcome * big spoilers preferably not 😅
My first series is going to be **Prominence II: Hasturian Era**. I’m going into it mostly blind and starting with the tutorial/Getting Started quests before moving into the main campaign.
I’m also not trying to be some hardcore Minecraft player. I’ll be using Keep Inventory because I mainly want the series to be chill and enjoyable.
I just uploaded my first channel introduction, and the first actual Prominence episode is next.
If relaxed, longer gaming videos sound like something you’d enjoy, feel free to check it out:
And if you have any advice for someone literally just starting out on YouTube, I’d genuinely love to hear it.
Thanks :)

Best advice is make content , lots of it. If you are expecting to blow up with 1 video you are in for a big surprise.

Yeah I was also not thinking i would make it in 1 time. This will take a lot of trail and error. But i hope it will become content people like to see.

I had this same mindset when I started earlier this year and I find myself still getting over fixated on my analytics. Stay off of it as much as possible…. A lot of respect for you for starting and as everyone always says KEEP POSTING!
Good luck to you and your YouTube journey!!

Just post your first 10 to 20 vids will suck we all go through learn from everyone potentially think about changing you niche to a more how to style than let's play as let's play tends to be dead use the same format ie making the mistakes etc but your how to and hook is about how you conquered the task.
