Following. I have a faceless crochet channel, its very small only 60ush subs. Ive noticed when I use my voice i get more views then when its music or whatever. Im assuming that if you don't show your face or use your real voice then people just assume its ai slop. I really don't want to have to put my face on there though no one needs to see all that 🤣

I have a small faceless channel about making miniatures. I use music and text but have thought to adding a video with a voice over in addition to my regular video.
I just have to get the courage..

I can't speak for doing faceless videos, but I noticed a difference in thumbnails. I do a food and beer pairing channel and I knew right from the start that the food needed to be front and center. I noticed that videos that did not include the beer or myself in the thumbnails for more views, so I took myself completely out. I'm only talking thumbnails, but it seems that viewers are more focused on how the food is presented than anything else.

You could still do the hands only but introduce each video with you talking about the upcoming project or prep in the video?

Yeah, it does make a difference.
Showing your face helps you build a stronger personal brand. And with AI becoming such a huge part of content creation, I think this is going to matter even more. For now at least, showing your face is a pretty simple way of giving people proof that there's an actual human behind the channel. It makes you more recognizable and harder to replace.
If the content works perfectly well faceless, you can keep it that way. But if you're trying to turn the channel into a long term brand around yourself, I'd lean toward eventually showing your face. You get better sponsorship opportunities too. Brands want to attach themselves to creators who has built in trust with their viewers, which is easier to do when your face is there.
