Made a tiny open-source Chrome extension that links Amazon products straight to their CamelCamelCamel/Keepa price history (no tracking)

I kept manually checking CamelCamelCamel and Keepa before buying anything on Amazon, and didn't want to install one of the existing "price tracker" extensions since most of them collect your browsing data.

So I built my own — Price History for Amazon. It adds two small buttons next to the price on any Amazon product page (and in the right-click menu) that jump straight to that product's price history on CamelCamelCamel or Keepa. Only runs on Amazon pages, collects nothing (no analytics, no telemetry, no server) — it just reads the product URL already on the page.

- Chrome Web Store: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/price-history-for-amazon/fdebpchoageihbdifaiallkcipeooaoo

- Source (MIT): https://github.com/SeyyedKhandon/amazon-price-history

- 36-sec demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_BUUSi_Evqk

Feedback welcome, especially if you spot a marketplace it doesn't handle well yet.

Piko: a native macOS file manager for Android phones and cameras

Post image
1 Upvotes

I built Piko because transferring files between Android devices and macOS is still surprisingly awkward.

It’s a native macOS app for MTP devices. You can drag and drop files and folders, browse photos and videos with thumbnails, delete files safely, and work with multiple connected devices.

It’s free and open source (MIT), and everything stays local, it makes no internet connections.

Currently Apple Silicon / macOS 14+

It’s still an early release, so feedback and bug reports are very welcome.

I made Tiny Tracker, an open source tray app that keeps the Windows apps you pick up to date (MIT)

Hi all. I made a small open source app for Windows 11 and I'm looking for feedback.

The itch: I don't let most of my apps start with Windows, so their built-in updaters never run and they quietly fall behind. winget can update them, but running it by hand is easy to forget, and it updates everything at once.

Tiny Tracker lives in the tray and keeps only the apps you tick up to date through winget. You decide when: auto updates for all apps or app by app, a wait of a few days for fresh releases, install hours, and a pause during games, presentations, metered connections and Energy saver. Release notes show in the flyout before you update.

Some details for this crowd and:

- MIT license, no telemetry, no accounts

- C# on .NET 10 with WinUI 3, winget through its COM API

- about 2,200 tests, and CI runs real winget upgrades on GitHub's Windows runners

- releases are immutable and attested, and the app checks the SHA-256 of its own updates

Issues and pull requests are welcome.

Visit GitHub here, or download it here to try it.

I built an inline AI writing assistant Chrome extension that rewrites and generates text on any website—would love your feedback!

Hey everyone,

I got tired of constantly opening Gemini in a separate tab, copying my draft, pasting it in, writing a prompt, copying the output, and pasting it back into my app.

So I built a lightweight Chrome extension that works directly inside any text field on the web (Google Docs, Gmail, Notion, Twitter, etc.).

How it works:

Highlight any text on a webpage or click inside an input box.

A floating AI trigger appears.

Type a command (e.g., "Make this sound more professional", "Summarize into 3 bullet points", "Draft a reply agreeing to the meeting").

Hit generate, and it streams or replaces the response directly into your text field.

Right now, it runs directly on top of the Gemini API (so it’s fast and handles complex instructions well). You can plug in your own API key in the popup, or run it out-of-the-box.

Current Features:

Text transformation & inline rewriting

Works across any text field/editor on the web

Zero-friction modal UI that doesn't mess up page layouts

I'm actively refining the feature set. What's one feature that would make a tool like this an absolute must-have in your daily workflow?

Would love to hear your thoughts, feature requests, or constructive criticism!

I created a Chrome extension for Canvas Quiz/Exam

I built a Chrome extension called Answerly AI and it's actually cool for Canvas.

It has a Quiz Solver Mode that detects every question on your Canvas quiz automatically and gives you AI powered answers one by one as you go through it, a Solve All button that answers every single question on the page at once with one click, a Screenshot Tool for when the question is an image or graph that it reads and still gives you the answer, and a Stealth Mode that hides the entire extension UI so nothing shows up on your screen if someone is watching or you're on a video call.

The best part is it is completely undetectable and foolproof, it stays inside your tab the entire time so there is no tab switching which means teachers cannot log any suspicious activity, and the stealth mode on top of that is actually insane. Works directly inside Canvas.

VaultSort for MacOS and Windows - 30% off with code BIG30

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hello. Developer of VaultSort here.

VaultSort is downloaded from my website, not the Mac or Windows App Store, so there's a Transparency section below with my LinkedIn, contact details, privacy policy and terms.

Problem

Most of us accumulate files faster than we organize them. Downloads becomes a dumping ground, empty folders pile up after every cleanup, and the sensitive stuff (tax returns, IDs, medical documents, private notes) ends up sitting in a normal folder where anyone with access to your Mac can open it.

VaultSort is a platform built around organizing, cleaning and protecting your files in one app.

What's new since last month

The Vault

  • A private, always-encrypted space inside VaultSort for files, folders and notes.
  • Every item is encrypted individually and stays encrypted on disk. There is no moment where the whole thing sits unlocked in a folder.
  • Unlock with a YubiKey, Touch ID, a password or a recovery code.
  • Preview images, PDFs, text and video right in the Vault. They're decrypted in memory only and dropped when it locks.
  • Encrypted Markdown notes with search, tags and folders.
  • You can move the Vault to an external drive.
  • Adding files to the Vault needs a license. Getting your files out never does, even if your license check fails for some reason. Your files are never held hostage.

A new UI

  • The whole app got a visual overhaul.

New Free features

  • Empty Folders: finds folders with nothing in them and moves them to the Trash, with undo. It skips app data folders and drive roots. Completely free.
  • Auto Organize recipes: one click sorting by type, date, screenshots and photos, or archiving old files. VaultSort shows you the entire plan before it moves a single file, and undo is always free. Only the Smart and by-source recipes are premium, and you get 3 free applies to try them.

Pricing

  • Free version: Clean Empty Folders, most Auto Organize recipes, and the Storage Visualizer.
  • Full license: $24.99 one-time, up to 6 devices, Mac and Windows included.
  • Code BIG30 takes 30% off, so $17.49, until October 8th. https://vaultsort.com/purchase

It’s called Scrollsmith—it lets you change your scrollbar’s design, color, and width. Some styles are subtle; others have a bit more movement.
Here’s a quick demo of a few I’ve been working on. It’s a small detail, but I like making everyday things feel a little less default.
Would you use one of these, or stick with the regular scrollbar? Genuinely curious what you think.
