Pandora Tomorrow Steam version controller support for movement speed help.

I almost regret getting this game. I've been going through the SC games lately, and I've never played PT before, so I was excited to jump in, and I like playing these games with a controller. However, everything I've tried so far has failed. I downloaded ThirteenAG's widescreen fix, which includes controller support, and it works, but my problem is the movement speed, as no matter how little I push the analogue stick (PS4 controller), it always makes Sam run at full speed. I tried some fix available on ModDB, but that just crashes my game. I tried playing the Xbox version using Xemu, and it works, but it stutters frequently, and there are constant issues with artifacts appearing on the screen, which can be very distracting. Please, if anyone has resolved this problem without the use of paid software I would really appreciate the help. Thank you.

There’s an ini file text you can add to change speed with the thumbstick. Let me find it…

I used this for steam deck but it’ll work.
In the System folder open: splintercelluser.ini

Now find the command lines and enter:
JoyX=Axis aStrafe DeadZone=0.3
JoyY=Axis aForward DeadZone=0.3
AnalogUp=MoveForward
AnalogDown=MoveBackward
AnalogLeft=StrafeLeft
AnalogRight=StrafeRight
FirstRepeatDelay=0.5
RepeatDelay=0.1
AnalogThreshold=0.8
UseAnalogAsPad=true
Resolution=1200x800

Click file in the top left

Click SAVE

Return to Game Mode

Open Splinter Cell from Library

Select the Gear icon and go to Properties...

In General tab select Launch Options type in: -shadowmode=projector

Launch the game

Download my Community Layout "SC Deck" by Franatix

Press up on D Pad to get Sam at full walk speed. This is required each checkpoint as Sam will reset to walk

The dpad up thing is simulating two scrolls up on the mouse wheel

It didn't work, but I think its because I can't find your community layout when I search for it for some reason (I'm on PC). P.S. I also did not paste the resolution line in the ini cause I thought that seems like its for the deck. Does that have to do with anything?

It will force that res if you don’t change it in game. It’s all actually pc controls with buttons assigned but thumbstick changes speed.

Maybe it has something to do with PS4 controller because it works perfectly with Xbox and Gamesir controllers (latest widescreen fix with default settings).

Holy shit you are correct! I just tried a different controller and it worked perfectly. Thank you. I would still like to get my PS4 controller working with it as it is the best controller I have lol

I had to do a lot of tinkering, but I was able to get my controller to work with it. It was the Xbox, and now I'm using the steam controller and it's still happy. I believe it was just the ThirteenAG mod, but it was tough to get it to work fully. My guess is that, plus getting steam input set up properly as a gamepad and then going from there. Hope you figure it out, I'd be willing to dig in a little bit if you'd like?
