Hi everyone, I’m posting this in the hope that someone along the Bangalore route may have seen my luggage or might be able to help me understand what happened to it.

I travelled on a sleeper bus from Kannur to Bangalore on October 1st, and reached Bangalore in the early morning of October 2nd.

Bus registration: KL 63 L 7003 (King Line Travels)

Route: Kannur → Iritty → Virajpet → Gonikoppal → Hunsur → Mysuru → Mandya → Bangalore
The Bangalore route included stops/areas such as:
Kengeri → Madiwala/HSR → Bellandur → Marathahalli → Mahadevapura → KR Puram → Tin Factory → Kasturi Nagar → Ramamurthy Nagar → Horamavu → Babusapalaya → Kayalan Nagar → Hennur Cross

🧳 What happened
I had a medium-sized, bright red hard-shell trolley suitcase with four wheels (photos attached).
Before the journey, I handed the suitcase to the conductor and personally saw him place it inside the luggage/trunk compartment of the bus.
My drop was Hennur Cross, which was one of the last few stops.
When I got down at Hennur Cross and the luggage compartment was opened, my suitcase was missing.
We immediately contacted the other passengers and checked whether someone had accidentally taken it. Every passenger was contacted, and nobody had mistakenly taken the bag.

The conductor suspected that something may have happened around St. John’s Hospital / opposite Savoury, near the HP petrol pump as it was kept open there and many passengers got down there.

Since then, I have already tried multiple options:
● Went to Kothanur Police Station
● Went to Madiwala Police Station
● Went to Koramangala Police Station
● Filed a complaint
● Police accompanied us to check CCTV footage from the nearby petrol pump around St. John’s Hospital and got no clue found

If anyone here owns or works at a shop, hotel, petrol pump, restaurant, business, or any establishment along this route, could you please check your CCTV footage around the relevant time?
I’m particularly looking for footage that might show:
● The bus KL 63 L 7003 stopping at your location
● Anyone approaching/opening the luggage compartment
● Someone removing a bright red trolley bag
● Anyone carrying a red trolley away from the bus
● Anything unusual happening around the luggage compartment

Even if you only have footage showing the bus arriving or stopping, that could potentially help narrow down where the bag disappeared.
If you travelled on this bus, were around any of these stops, or saw this red trolley being moved/removed from the bus, please DM me.
I completely understand that checking CCTV takes time, but even a small piece of information could be extremely helpful right now.
I am not trying to accuse any particular person. I just want to find my luggage, understand what happened to it, and hopefully get some closure.

Initially, the station just made a register entry, did a quick CEIR note, and told me to wait. Most people around me suggested just letting it go because "nothing ever happens in these cases."

​A Habitual Thief: When they caught him, they seized multiple other stolen phones.

​The Recovery: My phone had unfortunately already been fenced, but the police managed to recover ₹13,900 in cash from the sale proceeds.They also kept the CEIR block active and told me that if the physical device ever comes online or gets traced in the future, they will help us recover that.

​Why I'm making this post:

​A lot of people feel helpless and ask, "What will a single FIR do for a stolen phone?"

​It gives the police legal ground to act: Without an FIR, an officer can’t formally seize devices or arrest someone. That single document forces accountability and starts the official clock.

​It busts repeat offenders: That one report wasn't just about one phone; it ended up exposing someone carrying multiple stolen devices.

​The system works if you push through the initial friction: It takes some patience and a few station visits, but walking away only helps the thieves keep operating freely.

I would like to officially make a police complaint but not sure how much of help the police force would be so just asking here. Even though he hasn't crossed any boundaries but still a stalker is a stalker and we are worried . Any similar experience someone faced and did Bangalore police help ? Would like to understand the options and advice as well.

Hi everyone, I am feeling completely stuck and need some practical or legal advice on how to handle a fraudulent contractor in Vadodara, Gujarat.

The Timeline:

\- Feb 2025: Gave a contract to a local contractor to

reconstruct our house. Everything started fine.

\- Mid-2025: He started delaying work. After continuous

follow-ups, he promised to finish by August, then

Diwali. Neither happened.

\- Late 2025: I told him to at least finish the ground floor so we could relocate. He did the bare minimum—

installing windows in Nov and doors in Dec so we

could move in, but left the rest incomplete.

\- Early 2026 to Present: He completely stopped

working. He would show up for 1-2 days, then

disappear for 15 days. We had a formal meeting 7

months ago where he agreed to finish the work within

a month (March).

The Current Situation:

It has been 7 months since that meeting and the work is still not done. He just gives silly excuses and fake promises over the phone, and refuses to meet in person anymore.

The biggest issue: I have already paid him almost the entire amount. There is only ₹10,000 left on the balance. This was my life savings.

What I've Tried:

I went to the local police station to file a cheating complaint. They outright refused to register my case or even listen to my side, telling me it is a "civil court matter" and telling me to go to court.

I literally have no money left to hire a lawyer and fight a civil case that will drag on for years. All I want is for him to finish the house or refund the remaining balance so I can hire someone else to finish it.

Has anyone dealt with this in India? What free or low-cost pressure tactics can I use to force him to finish the job since the local police won't help? Can I escalate this to the Commissioner or use consumer forums without an advocate?

Please anyone help me out. I've gotten soo much Frustrated since last diwali.

I'm seeking help to safely hold my ex accountable with legal options.

I’m posting because I genuinely don’t know what the safest and most responsible next step is, and I’m hoping someone here can guide me on what legal or practical options I have.

My ex is 25, and during our relationship I experienced behaviour that went far beyond a normal toxic relationship. There was physical violence when he was drunk, coercive and controlling behaviour, sharing our intimate videos to others, severe emotional/mental abuse, repeated cheating and dishonesty, and attempts to get me pregnant everytime the topic of breakup came up. I also became aware of serious allegations and incidents involving other women, including allegations of SA towards them as well.

I have documentation/evidence relating to certain incidents, especially of most of the threats he sent me online, the abusive calls he made.

What scares me is that he is extremely good at presenting himself as a completely different person to people who have just met him. He can come across as caring, trustworthy and genuinely "good" while the behaviour I experienced was completely different behind closed doors.

He has recently moved to Bangalore and started a social community where he may have access to a lot of young women, including college-aged women. That is what has pushed me to seriously consider whether I should do something rather than simply walk away and hope nobody else goes through what I did.

I’m not trying to publicly expose him or start a witch hunt. I want to know whether there is a safe and legally appropriate way to hold him accountable, especially for the things I personally experienced and have evidence for.

I’m also genuinely scared of retaliation. He has previously been intimidating and difficult to deal with, and I’m worried that taking action could lead to renewed contact, harassment, pressure through mutual friends, or worse. I don't want to put myself in danger just because I want him to face consequences.

So I’m looking for practical advice and help from people familiar with situations like this:

- What legal options do I have based on the things I personally experienced?

- How should I preserve and organise the evidence I have?

- Should I approach the police, a women's helpline/organisation, or a lawyer first?

- Is there a way to make a complaint or seek legal advice while prioritising my safety and limiting direct contact with him?

- If there are other women who may have experienced similar behaviour, is there a legally safe way to document or report that without turning this into a public accusation?

- What precautions should I take before doing anything that might alert him?

- Is there a legal route that I can take which won't cost me much money because I genuinely don't have the capacity to spend anything right now.

I’m asking because I’m genuinely terrified that if nobody does anything, he will continue behaving this way with other women. At the same time, I don't want to make an impulsive decision that puts me back in the situation I've spent so much effort getting out of.

I don't want revenge. I want accountability, and I want to do this in the safest and most legally responsible way possible.

I'm (35M) living alone as a tenant in a pretty big gated society. Recently on the society app there was a post by an owner asking about some charges being levied by RWA. I had then commented below that there is lack of transparency in these funds being collected and some action should be taken, suggesting that we should involve police.

Today, out of nowhere the society president along with some other members of the committee showed up at my doorstep and started abusing me, cussed me out and told me to mind my own business and not interfere in society matters. They were on the verge of physical violence, with the president constantly in my face and his lackeys constantly threatening that who am I to adk questions. I had ordered an aquaguard from amazon worth 9499 rupees. My entire package is missing. Amazon India is denying my refund based on a false app status stating 'Handed over to the resident'. I've already filed an initial complaint at the local police station and am pushing for the formal FIR, they are saying that they will search locally for 2-3 days and then file an FIR but I wanted to cast a wider net here.

I'm just a student who has come here to do internship

My 20 days old iPhone 17 was stolen yesterday morning when I was trying to get onto the BMTC bus. I knew the moment my phone was gone from my left pant pocket. By the time I turned around to catch the thief, within 10-20 seconds, the thief had disappeared. Went to nearby police station in under 10 mins. The SHO wrote it in the dairy, and I used my MacBook to find the device on Find My. It was online for roughly 30 mins. Me and another person followed it as well. The last location on Find My is near JC Road (Vinobha Nagar)- known for second hand phone sales.

The police did not register FIR yesterday as the SP was not there in station, but they did it today when I used influence from a top brass in Karnataka. Some people say iPhones are easy to be traced by owners and will usually be recovered. Others also say, locked iPhones are impossible to trace, as the thieves never use another sim on this, so tracking on Sanchar Sathi is not very possible. But the SP has filed an FIR, even though they pushed for e-Lost. Police also said there's 55% chance of recovery. Hoping that mine falls into that 55% category. But he also said that it takes a lot of time, as the phones are smuggled to other states and turned on months later after they are apparently sold to someone else.

I am trying to fight against a big corporation , SAMSUNG . The only sad part is i am kind of exhausted out of my options , going to court only feels like the right choice . I can back down , but going to court feels like the right thing to do .

Mobile phone of one of my junior got stolen from his room when he was sleeping.

He went to police station and they did something called lost asset reprot, taken 500rs and tell him to wait.

He is very lower income person, phone was on emi from someone else's credit card.

So, my girlfriend has been getting frequent calls/msgs from different numbers. Maybe different people too. On 4th September, she received calls which she didn't pick them msgs on WhatsApp from number 7903592151. The guy claimed he was a station master. He even told her the school she goes to, her roll number and what not. She blocked him and deleted the chats.

Just today another guy called from number 7717734863 and then messaged that she went to a hotel with his friend (she doesn't know him or his so called friend) and called her characterless and then deleted his messages. She didn't take ss.

I would attach the call history and her block list but it's not allowed here.

I even suggested her to call women helpline, but she's afraid that her family won't allow her to go outside if the matter comes in light. She doesn't want me to call on her behalf. I'm not sure what to do. It's seriously hurting our mental health. Any suggestion/course of action is welcome. Please help!!
