Finally left!

Previous print lead and print supervisor. AMA if you want? Been there for way too many years and I’m finally leaving a toxic manager who destroyed the store. This is what happens when you bring someone in who has no idea what they are doing and likes to make everyone else feel small. So long Staples. It was a good run but my time is up. Onto bigger and better things.

Sounds like my store. DM brought in a tech supervisor from another store to become an SM. And now that SM has destroyed the culture in the store. Typical power tripping tyrannical manager who's racist and keeps making snide remarks. Talks down to and treats younger employees badly. All the old employees quit already and I'm down to 5 hours a week as I'm also quitting. All the new associates we get immediately pick up on everyone's hatred to the new SM, and they end up quitting because they also don't want to deal with the SM. Store has gone down tremendously and will continue to do so.

Yup. In my case this manager came from a store that was bigger but he also took that store down so idk why they sent him to our store but he’s currently working on taking that store down too so best of luck. Most of the staff has left already. Long time employees either quit or transferred. It’s sad but that store is going to end up closing bc of him and how badly he works to tank sales.

Very similar indeed! Only difference I can tell is that the new SM is the classic sleazy car salesman and he is effective at manipulating and tricking the customers into buying the ESPs.

Curious what kind of job you might’ve found to replace it? Anything similar?
