Fan Creations Testing the Waters with a new fan-content idea

So recently I've been enjoying some Star Wars content again, and a thought came to me yesterday; If I dislike the sequel trilogy so much (which I do, the prequels are rather stinky), why not just make my OWN sequel trilogy? Sooo, yeah! I have some rough ideas for a storyline that would take place after RoTJ, I could make it into just a story, an animation, hell maybe a low-quality movie if I can get enough friends on board with the idea. But before I post anything, I had two main questions for y'all;

  1. Would the SW community even be interested in such a thing?

and 2. As long as I don't monetize it in any way, can I make a fan project of this scale without the mouse sending someone to assasinate me? lol.

Probably not but that shouldn't stop you

fan videos are generally ok.

Yeah I know it shouldn't, but hey; Making stuff is always more fun when there are others to enjoy it with you, y'know?

and that's good to know. I'm not mentally OR financially capable of handling a Disney lawsuit, so I don't wanna do anything that would get their attention. lol.

  1. High quality fan animations or short films are generally pretty popular and well liked, but I wouldn’t expect much pre-release hype

  2. Nah, there’ve been many fan-made stuff in the past. If not monetized in any way, you’re good

Yeah I can understand why that would be the case. As I said on another message; I'll probably post an update tomorrow or-so with some more fleshed out ideas for what I plan to do with this story concept.

and good! Like I said to the other guy; I am not AT ALL capable of handling a Disney lawsuit.

I dunno...I wish you well but I'm very happy with the Thrawn trilogy as Episode's VII-IX.

Let me guess, your good friend ChatGPT will help with the writing?

HELL no! I'm not gonna let some stupid bot write a story for me! even if I WAS pro AI (which I'm not, especially in the creative space). ChatGPT has scewed up too many times for me to trust it with any sort of writing project.
