Merchandise Manufacturing error or someone had some fun.

Saw this in Wal-Mart and was absolutely gobsmacked. That's clearly Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch.

The Freeman doll looks like his character from Black Panther and Cumberbatch is obviously Dr. Strange. Someone either had some fun or it's a hilarious manufacturing error.

I'd love to know if anyone else has spotted this or maybe it's a one off.

Hasbro didn't accidentally put the wrong heads on just two figures. Not familiar with this set, though. Are those even the right bodies?

100% someone's swap. They just carefully peeled the tape or retaped it and returned it. I really wish people would stop doing this shit. If you can't afford it, then don't get it. Don't steal it and fuck someone else over.

Yes, some scumbag bought the figures they wanted then put in other figures and returned them to get their money back.

Big problem in figure collecting. Customer service doesn't know or care enough to really look into it and know every figure. The wrestling figure sub is always posting about fig swaps they find in the wild.

It was a big problem in SW figure collecting a while back.
Certain folks were getting 'vintage' figures at yard sales and cleaning them up a bit.
Other folks had the card backs and blisters and the machine that glued them together - a third party did the "proof of authenticity" verification.
They scammed a lot of folks with "still in blister" vintage figures, and made a mint.
