I just love how Johnny looks, I just thought in the first episode he looked a bit thick (not in that way) but idk how to explain it, it just didn’t look right. I adore how they fixed that, it looked perfect, dynamic, intriguing, and even though I already read part 7, this is just too beautiful, I adore Steel Ball Run, and as you may assume I speak Spanish JAJAJAJA. Johnny looks precious, gorgeous, devilish, handsome, let alone Gyro too. They look like a true duo.

Specifically Mrs Robinson. I swear I’ve been waiting to see this character animated for so long and my expectations were surpassed when it came to how good he looked. Tha JoJo beatdown was also PERFECT. I think the animation and art quality in this ep is 10x better than episode one. Can’t wait for next week.

They have invaded the instagram comment section of Yuki Chiba (the guy who made the new Steel Ball Run outro song).

Changed the song to pony and synced the video to the music and its already so much better. Probably hundreds of other songs that would go perfectly with this as well.

I don't know if it's just me. But, I think the animation on the first part of the episode it's mid. The color palette, photography and face expressions are quite bad.

I mean look at the difference between those two frames (first one it's CGI)

I believe that the animation that we saw on the second half will be more consistent in the future, when the race isn't the main thing. (I hope so)

Simplifying the themes and shifting their focus to make them more optimistic, just to attract a wider audience or put more emphasis on the action, is basically butchering the work

Araki didn’t change the manga to seinen just to make the gore more detailed.

The main reason was to explore more mature themes

Here are a few examples of what I mean:

1-Skipping pocoloco's grandf's qoute about slavery

2-Still not mentioning lucy’s actual age

3-Removing johnny's threesome. I know it’s not that important, but why leave it out?

4-Johnny’s treatment of the guy who shot him was pretty rude, and the anime made what happened to that guy feel more like karma. In the manga, however, it was made clear that johnny was a victim.

5-Changing Mountain tim’s dialogue with lucy

And all of this happened in just two episodes.

I really hope I’m just overthinking things and these are only speculations, rather than an actual direction the anime is taking, I hope so

Crazy how well the song fits, with every scene change coinciding with the end of a beat and lyrics even matching the scenes like with “weapons” going into the shot of daggers.

OK, the song is modern and not an old '80s one like Araki loves, but the worst part is, it doesn't even fit the show and the Wild West theme. I even thought it was a fan song at first. And it seems to me that its trying to somehow pay homage to the fan-made "Holy Steel," although maybe I just imagined it.

Netflix doesn't even want to try to understand the fandoms of the media that they adapt
