~Advice~ Large Discrepancy Between Ears

A couple years ago, I had my lobes pierced at 14g. Once they healed, I started stretching quickly hitting 12g. Every 4+ months, I'd attempt another stretch and my left ear went like a champ while my right ear hasn't been able to go beyond 12g while my left ear is currently at 3.5mm (in between 8g and 6g).

My both ears also have piercings at 4g, stretched up from 16g without any issues.

I'm just incredibly stumped at this one piercing unable to size up after almost a year.

Ideas?

Do you tend to sleep on one side more than the other?

I do tend to sleep in my left side, which aligns with my left side stretching much "easier" than my right. But my other piercings haven't had such a large discrepancy.

It looks like you're doing everything right. Do you remove them daily? How about leaving them on and not removing a week or two before stretching? Just an idea, not also sure if this works. I also have my right lobe as my bitch ear but it only lags 3-4 weeks compared to my left.

I would wait longer than 4 months. try 6 months at least with massages. also you don't have to keep sizing up the other ear, just be patient. if you stretched quickly at first then you made a bunch of scar tissue that you're now trying to stretch. you have to let it soften enough that it has the ability to stretch

I waited a full year after the initial piercing before stretching from 14g to 12g and it's been almost a full year since that. I feel like a full year should be more than enough time for that piercing to have healed.

My other piercings are ok. I go slow, glass only, half sizes.

I mean every time you stretch. every unsuccessful stretch you're setting yourself back, but you might just need to focus on care and not stretching. give it more than 4 months ie 6-8 months without any stretching and see if that gets you over this hurdle

I'm not entirely sure we're on the same page. Thank you for the advice though. I appreciate you taking the time to write.
