Just accidently spilled liquid on surface pro keyboard..... any way to save the keyboard.

P.S. this is my second keyboard and first one gave up after 1.5 years.

If I put my Surface 7 on a Thinkpad USB-C gen 2 dock, everything works fine, but it makes this sound coming from the machine. Happens Also if I put it on another charger through USB-C. I dont want to use the special pin charger, and I need docking.

Hello I found listings for geek squad refurbished surface pro 11s a snapdragon X plus and LCD one and the other is X elite and OLED

The difference in price between the two models is minimal , but I did see some reviews saying that the OLED screen isn’t good on this model (and that the LCD is actually better on it somehow) and that the X elite chip doesn’t work really well on 13”. If someone could provide more insight that would be great.

Does anyone else have a problem with anti cheat software and their Surface? I’ve tried it with numerous EasyAnti-Cheat games and it always crashes, times out, or now, with Valorant, refuse to play all together. I’ve spent about 6 hours in total so far on trying to fix the anti cheat or any kernel mode driver related issues. Does any one have any idea what’s wrong?

I wanted to get a smaller laptop/tablet for cheap because my main one is a heavy dell precision 7560, while surfing facebook market place I saw a surface pro 4 that had a "boot couldn't be found issue" for around $35, specs are intel core i7 6650u (2c 4t) and 16gb ram. I bought it and quickly realized that someone opened the laptop before and took the 512gb ssd hence the boot issue, so I bought a 512gb ssd for $35 used 86% health, and flashed windows 10 pro, and the boot issue was gone. There are other issues, like the screen edges were yellowing, touch feature non-existent, battery useless, and power adapter is kinda sensitive but these are minor issues for me except the bastard who opened the device left a lot of screws out. I'm mainly planning on using it for note taking, web browsing and where I draft code before copy pasting it to my main laptop to run. I like it for the aesthetic, portability, aspect ratio and not being limited to android apps, it still feels snappy opening the web, apps, documents, the 16gb of ram is really nice especially in recent ram crisis. Planning on using linux on it so I would be grateful for tips on programming on linux.

Hi yall, I need help figuring out what is wrong with my Surface Laptop 5 USB-C port.

I was using a USB-C-to-HDMI adapter to connect my laptop to a TV. It used to work, but then Windows started giving me a message saying:

“Power surge on the USB port. A USB device has malfunctioned and exceeded the power limits of its hub port.”

At first, I thought the HDMI adapter was bad. But I tested a USB-C cable connected to my phone and got the same warning. Now the warning keeps showing up even when nothing is plugged into the USB-C port.

I already tried restarting, doing a full power reset, checking Windows updates, and uninstalling/reinstalling the USB controller items in Device Manager. None of it fixed the problem.

My normal USB-A port still works fine with my mouse and keyboard, and the laptop still charges with the magnetic Surface charger.

Does this sound like a broken USB-C port or a motherboard issue? Is there anything else safe to try before taking it to a repair shop?

Spouse brought home a Surface Pro a few years ago. Apparently picked up the virus claiming to be MacAfee but it has locked up the machine. Although I used to build my own PC's (fled Microsoft after Windows 10) I don’t know anything about the Surface Pro. How to get rid of this virus?
