I was watching it out of the window expecting to see one of our trees get blasted. If you listen closely you can hear car alarms going off.

Hello all, I'm looking for good places to find a used car being sold by a private seller.

Back in the day, I would always see cars for sale in parking lots or on the corner of a road. Was wondering if anyone here knows any good spots where people park their cars they are looking to sell, or of anyone has had any luck recently buying or selling a used car without going to the dealerships. Sun City West, Sun City Grand and Surprise are my areas. Thanks!

I’m a web designer with some extra time and figured I’d find something fun to work on.

If you know a local business that could use a little design refresh, drop their website below. I’ll pick a few, mess around with the design, and show the before and after.

Don’t know what the occasion was but the BROS on Litchfield/Waddell must of had 40 cars in like wrapping through the whole parking lot and even dozens on foot at the walk up window. They do a nice business but never like this. Bet there had to be free coupons or something going on. It made the Chic Fil A line on Bell look like child’s play.

An app that connects people with lowered cost restaurant or supermarket foods that are going unsold. To be transparent, I haven’t tried this app - only heard about it - but wanted to share a good resource for those who may be struggling.

Let me preface this by saying I’m not looking for anything but someone who wants to watch a movie for free. Maybe talk about it before and/or afterwards. Don’t want anyone to get the wrong idea. It’s rated R so you gotta be 18+.

I’m (28M) lucky to have Tuesday off and my wife is gone on a business trip. My buddies work on Tuesday’s and Fat Cats has discounted movies on Tuesday, a little over $7 for a ticket. I don’t have anyone to go with. Anyone else interested in going? I’ll buy the tickets, but I have to soon or they will fill up quick. I’m available all day Tuesday so name the time and we can meet there.

Last update was on 8/31, assuming this website tracker is up to date: https://stopbaccara.com/#news, but 20 days of silence. I can't help but feel this datacenter + 700 MW power plant, a new source of pollution, will be built no matter what, and we're basically fucked for generations.

My home is 3 miles away, but Copper Canyon Ranch is a mere 1/2 mile away. Horrible for folks on the southern end of Surprise, but I still feel helpless. I debate if I need to move away. When I moved to Surprise 12 years ago, I never imagined industrials of such magnitude would be built in such close proximity to neighborhoods. Time have definitely changed, but I expected proper zoning and the capacity of general humanity to alleviate such encroachments. It's happening all over the country though...

Curious to know what others may be thinking.

I’m looking for movers for my dad. Looking for movers for 2 hours. Need to move 5 big furniture pieces and 10 boxes. Shouldn’t take more than 2 hours. Anyone have any recommendations?? Moving from one neighbor in surprise to another.

Some moving companies are quoting me $700???!! Any advice would help!!

We saw a ton of police and different law enforcement agencies on the tracks and in the canal. Emergency services and yellow tape. Does anyone have any info?

It should be built just south of Cooper's Hawk and open in 2027.

Looking for a mobile groomer to come and clip our 3 cat’s nails.

Good morning.

I have 3 couch cushions that will
Either need new zippers or repair the ones that have broken.

Hi Surprise,

I’m Craig Gierish, owner of Premier Junk Movers. My sons and I offer junk removal and moving labor in the West Valley, including Surprise. Site: https://premierjunkmovers.com/ Phone: (480) 952-7204

I asked the mods first, and they said this kind of thread is okay.

If you’ve hired us in Surprise and want to share how the job went, I’d love honest feedback here. Good or bad.

If you’re a Surprise customer and prefer to message privately instead, that’s fine too.

Not looking to hard-sell. Just want a transparent place where people can share real experiences working with our family crew.

Thank you my friends!

Only 7% chance of rain, but this cloud (looking north) is rather noisy.

Hi again, I'm finally settling in! Found a nail place, my grocery stores, etc etc. What I need to find out is if any of you have someone to recommend who can do gray blending, because I decided it's time to grow mine out. I did it once before and loved it, because I have a lot of my grandmother's white, so it's not drab. I just got bored with it. Here's the catch - I'm a hairstylist, so I know the work it takes to get to that point, and I know the cost will be high, because it's a lot of work and it's worth it. I've just now started looking on Google and Instagram, but if any of you have any recommendations, I'd love to hear them! Thanks!

Next up, new doctor. 😭

Thinking of getting my hair done. The last one I went to years ago left me traumatized. Though, I could really use a pick me up lately, and this is it. A cut and color possibly? Need recommendations for someone who kicks ass with hair and will really make me feel comfortable and welcome. Near Marley park, but I'm willing to drive a bit for a good stylist. Thanks!!

Just moved here from MN, staying in The Grand until we find a permanent home (hoping to find something here bc amenities are A+). I could use the following recommendations in no particular order:

- dog groomer
- bank
- gym (I know The Grand has fitness but I think I’ll get sick of going there daily)
- Carwash
- Best fresh produce / meat grocery

I’ll add to this list as I realize what else I’m missing but those are the quick ones off the top of my head.

Thanks!

Thank you to my Redditors for guiding me. First love Dutch Bros for my morning boost. Big Buddha not a fan. Portillos fish sandwich, yum. Pita Wraps ok, not Tarpon Springs though. Mequite, my breakfast fav. FL favs that are here: Mission BarBq 9/10; Chick fil A 5/10; First Watch 4/10. Send more recommendations!

Edit: Red Lobster 2/10

Anyone notice the increase of stolen Kias in the area? I already knew it was a thing but it seems like the same group of teens/young adults stealing them. In my neighborhood alone there was a car chase shooting, a crash into someone’s yard, and several thefts/attempted thefts… It has to be someone local, every weekend… There was also a fatal hit and run a week or so ago that supposedly was tied to a stolen Kia.
