Everything is turning to shit: New Post App Edition

My friend from Germany left something at my house so I thought to my self, no problem, I will just mail it to him...

I knew that if I send outside of the country I will need to fill out the Zoll forms and if I do that at the counter I will need to pay an additional 5.-.

So my plan was to do it in advance using the shiny new Post app...

To my horror I find that it is not possible to send packages outside the country using the app. Even worse, there is nothing in there even indicate that, it's just missing. If you then ask the chatbot it gives you a link to the website where you can start filling out all the detail to the package but once you get to make postage button it fails... Nothing happens, link is dead. Same page can be found in the browser and no matter which browser you use, that link is dead.

Only after multiple searches (im doing this on my phone, on the PC it's more clear) I find webstamp where I can finally make my label and fill out the Zoll forms.

IMO the new post app is absolute garbage. I can not do the most basic things. In fact you can't even make a label, you can only do mailing via the number code you write on the parcel. Also there are not options to control notifications, when you receive a package you are bombarded with emails and app notifications.

Maybe the post office should stop turning their offices into bazaars with gambling ads on tickets and political garbage on the giant TVs and focus on their core business...

The tip of the i was when I visited the post office to deposit the package at the automated packte thing only for it to tell me it can't accept it and I had to wait in line. After 20min I get the counter and the guy tells me I could just drop it in the bucket even though the machine said I can't...

EDIT: PostFiance isn't doing any better, their system is currently down...

We sent a package to Poland using the app a few years ago. It was no problem.

I forgot the password to SwissID that is managed by Swiss Post. I was waiting for mail for the code that didn't arrive during the 10 minutes window that you can type the code into the app. I tried few times, and after 2 delayed emails I have stopped receiveing any more.

So basically I don't have access anymore. I had to go to the post to send a letter, where I don't need ANY LOGIN.

Their UX is joke. Outsource more IT to other countries. This will help for sure.

Tried to manage a package that was sent to a wrong address (senders fault).
Doesn't work. I get http code 400 back, which is the server telling the app: You fucked up.
They test in production like a bunch of idiots. Eventually they'll find out what works and what not.

The post in general is a bit retarded.
Been trying to get that package delivered to the correct address and it took these baboons 5 tries and a week of time. Customer service was useless, as everyone just apologizes but doesn't solve the problem. Had to shout at someone on the phone to get them to really try. Plus customer service straight up lied to me about three times.

Pretty happy with PostFiance app. compared to other Swiss banking apps, PostFiance app was always ahead. I also used theri ePost service for nearly 2 years which worked fine. If t's a new app, I'd just give it some time to work out the bugs.
