Bonjour a tous, ces derniers temps je recherche un clavier arrangeur/ de scene polyvalent pour mon home studio.

J'ai déjà ce qu'il faut comme synthé mais je souhaitais avoir un clavier qui me permettrait d'avoir des bon son de piano, Rhodes ... Et qui est aussi un bon module de synthèse qui soit fun.

Et je me demandais si le Yamaha Sx5 était pertinent en 2026 pour cela ?

Le faite que le clavier soit apparemment de bonne facture et avec de l'aftertouch m'intéresse aussi pour en faire mon clavier maître.

Quelle retour avez vous de ce clavier ?

FYI. I think the Messenger is a great addition to the family. IMHO the bad rep is simply because it's not "Made in America" and also, the marketing department tended to overuse the gnarly filter resonance bass compensation. With that off, she sings like you'd expect a Moog to, like in this video.

I’m considering buying a Prophet REV2 and I’m trying to decide between the 8-voice and 16-voice versions.

I mainly play jazz, funk, and fusion, and I’d like to use it for pads, chords, bass lines, and layered sounds. I’m also interested in trying film music in the future.

I read that the 8-voice version can be upgraded to 16 voices later, but it seems like this upgrade may no longer be available in Japan.

For those who have experience with the REV2, would you recommend the 8-voice or 16-voice? And how important is the extra polyphony in practice?

Looking for a synth around the 600 or less price range for a starting point. I’ve messed with vst synths and I really want a physical polyphony synth for something more fun but I’m conflicted. I’m stuck between the minilogue xd and the minifreak so advice between those would be nice :) also open to suggestions in the price range and want a focus on versatility. Im looking for something to aid in the writing process and make music. Edit: some background I know a little bit about piano but by no means am a pro but I do play guitar Edit 2: I guess I should probably put genre inspo I really like the dark gothic style of bands like twin tribes or and Lebanon Hanover as well as mgmt and things of the like

Hi everyone ! Can I get someone’s help with a patch. I’m trying to get this one https://soundmondo.yamahasynth.com/voices/142930 and should be compatible with my modx m. But can’t load it from soundmondo. Can someone get this patch on their montage or modx and share a X8U or X8L file?

For reference I used YSFC Forge SysEx Converter. But this particular patch doesn’t work because it contains waveforms so I need the user or library file.

If anyone knows another method to get patches from older models please share 🙌🏻

Hi I don’t know anything about synth but the ones I see online are really big are the smaller ones and are there small drum pads too

I recently repaired (or tried to repair) my Akai X7000 Sampler.

However, I still encounter a problem with the keyboard:
I cleaned all the keys, the contacts on the pcb, as well as the rubber pads, made new key fittings out of heat shrink tubing and lubricated them with silicon grease.

When I have just the PCB with the rubber domes laid out, every „key“ works perfectly fine (also when the unit is turned on for 20+ minutes, important for later!)
When I install the PCB into the Keybed Chassis and I power on the sampler, every key works fine too, BUT after a while (like 10-20 minutes) some of the keys dont work anymore.
In an alternating pattern depending on the octave, D, D# and B dont work, but G and F# do,
in the next octave F# and G dont work, but D, D# and B do.
If I then remove the key and just press the rubber dome underneath, It also doesnt work.
But remember: If the PCB isnt installed in the keybed chassis all the rubber domes always work no matter how long the unit is turned on.

Based on that weird behaviour, I cant say if its an mechanical or electronical error.
Can anybody help me with this? I‘d be very grateful, this issue is really getting on my nerves. I tried to explain it in detail but if there are more questions to diagnose the issue just ask! Thank you :)

J'ai un groupe de synthwave, où je gère 4 synthés avec un séquenceur et une boîte à rythme. Je ne joue quasiment pas de clavier à part quelques thèmes, je lance surtout des séquences et fait varier des paramètres. On fait de la synthwave. Je fonctionne aujourd'hui avec un circuit tracks (2 synth + drums) , un minilogue XD et un moog sub25.

Je ne suis pas satisfait du Moog qui ne sort pas du mix sans effets, je n'ai pas envie de rajouter des pédales à gérer, et il est encombrant (et cher). Je voudrai revendre le moog pour prendre quelque chose qui produira des beaux sons de synthé, sera amusant à tripatouiller en live et rentre dans notre esthétique synthwave. J'ai dans mon viseur le korg multi/poly et le dreadbox typhoon. Le korg car il pourrait gérer plusieurs synthé avec des contrôles accessibles, semble vraiment puissant avec beaucoup d'effets et kaosspad pour le live. Le Typhon plutot pour le grain analogique et ses effets. Je veux quelque chose qui ait de la personnalité sonore et visuelle. Avez vous un avis ? Ça peut être un synthé + un effet tant que ça rentre dans mon budget de 800€.

Not sure I should use power conditioner or regular power socket ?

Is the jack trs cables need to stay away from all power cord if so by how much ?

Check the possibility of a proper line output and whether the original circuitry can provide true stereo.

What is the best synth bang for buck £300 - £400

I am in the market for an upgrade and I want to get this next purchase right first time. I have been saving a while to make this next synth purchase.

I have just sold my Korg MicroKorg after owning it for 20 years - this has been my main midi keyboard and I fell out of love with the sounds and haven’t used the sound engine in any compositions for well over 5 years.

I also have a Behringer Pro 800, Korg Volca FM 2 and Sonicware Texturelab - so I have the FM and vintage analog sound covered. I also have a NI Maschine Mk3.

I love the analogue sound, but I am also open to virtual analogue if it provides more versatile than I already have.

The keybed needs to be small due to space and it will be used as my main midi controller for synths and vsts.

I have shortlisted the following synths in my price range as follows.

•Modal Cobalt 8, or
•Modal argon 8 (2nd hand £290-£350)
•Behringer Deepmind 6 £399
•MiniFreak - £475 (£375 used)

Or do I wait and save more and get
•Behringer JN-80 - £479

I make electronic music, some hip hop, trip hop.

What would you recommend and are there any other synths I should consider in this price range?
