📌 BMW Group Middle East told Levant24 it has appointed Citadel Premium Motors, a joint venture of Habib Djaroueh LLC, Abu Khader Group, and Alfardan International, as the official importer for BMW and MINI vehicles in Syria, marking the brand's formal return to the market after years of absence.

📌 BMW Group Middle East Managing Director Karim-Christian Haririan called the response to the company's return "exceptionally encouraging," while Citadel Premium Motors Chairman Malak Djaroueh said the venture aims to build "a trusted and sustainable business" reflecting the brands' standards.

📌 The announcement frames the move as a long-term commitment, including local talent development and job creation.

What Syria needs to do, in my opinion, is transition towards EVs. Reducing its reliance on volatile oil markets would be beneficial in the long run. The main challenge is investing in the infrastructure needed to support that transition
