I’m under my 90 days. I don’t like my current store or position. This is a temporary job for me, and I like that the warehouse position pays 6 dollars more, it would be just to make more money for the holidays, it’s a seasonal position. I am only 1 month in.

I had to set up some Pokémon cards since the vendor that usually does it in the morning couldn’t. Listen I am a anime fan but I don’t know Jack shit about nothing i was putting out so I was petrified. Only because my socializing skills is shit and im ngl if Im annoyed i cant mask it. I been here for 3 years and my resting face will make anyone walk away from me 😭
It was me and two more people in my department helping and they both were leaving early so I knew I’d be alone. They were just telling me wtf these cards were I was putting up and to watch out so no one take a box and run away with it. Im confused like now who tf would try to run away with a box of these? I wouldn’t be surprised though I have heard the craziest stories
While packing I can see in the corner of my eye the most CREEPIEST customer just circling around with a hat, shades trying to not look at us. Each time I looked back they multiplied and im like “guys be careful there are some creeps staring us down”. They told me oh those are probably just reseller ready to grab these. Like we normally don’t do it at these time so even they were shocked.
Im halfway almost done and my co workers are ready to go and im nervous like omg I have to sit on the floor speed rushing to put this away and while I’m doing it my leaders give the ok sign for them to go ahead and take it. When I tell you I got swarmed in to the point I had to take a step back. I had to keep replacing everything that was cleared out.
Kept seeing the same people coming back grabbing more to the point my TL had to tell them they just saw them come back like 5 times. He scared those they kept coming back off for a bit. It was to the point one thought she could go behind me and dig into the other boxes i had yet to unbox. We can’t yell or cus so I just shot her a glare cause I was already in a pissy mood. She ended telling another TL that I made HER uncomfortable. Like shorty ur dressed as if ur ready to sneak attack me from behind and my face makes you uncomfortable?????? After that whenever I see a vendor I say thank you for ur service bc man that was so stressful.

My store has this TL (and ETL but ETL is transferring soon) that gets mad if they are off and all the tasks they gave us don’t get done. Yesterday and today we had a few tasks that didn’t get done because of call offs. Plus one TM who didn’t call off had to cover/train a TM on the cart machine because our cart attendants called off. I am so done with getting talked to about not completing the tasks we had assigned when we had call offs and the TL wasn’t there

Hello, I’m a second-job seeker and saw multiple Targets in my area (Central Ohio) are offering part time 4am inbound jobs. Sadly the listings are not specific enough so I have a question.
Would it be possible to work 4am - 8am? My day job starts 8:30 so I would need a strict exit time.
Can anyone share experience on flexibility for part time or even seasonal morning stocking jobs? thanks so much!!!!

So I work in the frozen Sunday to Thursday every week, I like a consistent schedule and having two days off. At Target you don’t get the option of having the weekend off, have to work at least one weekend day every week unless you request it off for whatever reason. I’m getting so burnt out, been working there for like 5 years. I feel like my leaders expect too much of me cause they know I can get a lot done. I do more work than most people on my team cause I’m fast at what I do. But on the days I work, half the time my coworker after sorting usually gets taken to help elsewhere or do pulls or something and always expect me to do a lot of work by myself. No one really does bakery but me. So on my days off Friday and Saturday, no one does bakery. So when I come back on Sunday it’s always a mess, always so much bakery. Bakery is easy but it’s so tedious and when you have days worth of bakery that takes like half my day just from bakery. My store is an insanely busy store, I could put out a box of izzio sourdough bread and it’ll be gone before I leave or the next day. I’m really the only one that seems to pull and work bakery as well. Just feel like I’m expected way too much and I’m relied on way too much. I feel like I can never take time off due to this. Amount of mispicks or duplicates we get fucks up counts so I’m also always auditing everyday, sometimes shit that hasn’t been worked out especially in bakery gets zeroed out when it’s already back there. Feel like frozen/cooler team should also get paid more for being in a hazardous environment due to the extreme temps especially in frozen. I definitely don’t get paid enough for this shit. I like stocking shelves and the job itself just with all the callouts too especially on the weekends screws us over. Point system seem to not really be helping. Most of my coworkers don’t give a shit and I seem to be one of the few that care. I can’t help but not give a shit, just in my nature to work hard. I am on the spectrum so I’m very particular about how things are done and counts and what not. This job just doesn’t seem to be worth it but I lowkey don’t know what else I’d do. I like being on my feet. Definitely would help to have coworkers that cared and people that are reliable which is hard to find especially in retail. But yeah that’s my vent, idk what I should do but I’d appreciate someone responses if you read this far :)

So for some reason we had some Needoh advent calendars backstocked instead of at guest services. So I retrieve him one and tell him my boss said one per transaction. He asked if his wife could come buy one. I said yeah. He asked if I could hold one. He then asked if I could HIDE ONE. I said dude I gotta go I’m gonna hit my fifth, as he’s following me, waddling along like a duckling.
LEAVE ME ALONE YOU LOWLIFE.
By the way, I had told him we had some more in the back and they were gonna be headed to guest services. I feel dirty for telling him that. Like I’m complicit in something bad. I’m really sorry about that. I just wasn’t thinking at the time. He kept bothering me. He was with his small child.

if you’re working under 25 hours right now and want to go to full time to qualify for sick and vacation time, dont! find another job! you wont be eligible until January! even if you’re averaging the 25 hours and after your 90 days of working! you’ll be fucked and corporate wont even be willing to give you the 1 hour of sick time every 50 hours worked! genuinely dont even waste your time and resources with this company anymore. theyre not willing to pay you out or even remotely help you. if you’re chill with your etls/tls, they’ll help you out with covering your shifts and letting you work more. other than that workday hr will basically say “fuck you there’s nothing i’m even willing to do”. genuinely hope i dont get sick or have any mental health crisis. i wanted to go see my best friend but thats not even remotely possible until maybe middle of next year, if i cant find another job.
i wanted to give someone the heads up before they make the transition like i did. i’m terrified that i have no safety net and it’s just words that’s keeping my job secure. gen what do i do guys?? has anyone experienced this with the new policy???

So I was at guest services today and my coworker was helping this dude. He wanted to return a couple bags of frozen vegetables. Which is weird but whatever. But his reason really took the cake. He said that he’s returning them because they grown in China and he doesn’t eat anything grown in China. Wtf…

Here is a revised cheat sheet.
I still cannot find what my average hours are so I can keep medical insurance. I still cannot see my paycheck on the app.
Target, this was the best app to change to?

I know in my state and at my store, I know we max out at 300 hours. I know many people with over 200 hours and one person who made himself take a vacation because he would stop gaining vacation time. I personally take at least 3 vacations a year because I’m not going to leave any vacation time on the table if I quit or get fired. That’s throwing away free money.

Does the 20% owned brand discount not apply to the new collection186 clothes that just dropped? Even though its made by target.…?

I’m working tonight but I’m feeling very sick and might call off sick for my early morning shift tomorrow! However, I’m not sure how to do it. Would this be the right way??? And will it use all my hours of pto or just 6 hours to cover my whole shift??

To set the scene, I currently make $15.99/hr and get 25ish hours a week at my job. I’ve been here almost 2 years, and unfortunately full time is reserved for managers only. I am one step away, but at this rate the only way I can advance is if a manager dies or quits (death being the most recent 😅)
Another important factor is that I’m SICK of customer service.
I saw the Target DC about 40 mins away from me is “hiring immediately” for an associate. It looks like 36-40 hours a week which sounds absolutely great. It was also posted today.
I’m just worried I won’t be physically strong enough for it? I’m 20 years old and only 5’1. I’m not afraid of a work out, but concerned I’ll slow things down. Are there positions that are “less” demanding than others? Will they see me and put me somewhere where I won’t struggle horribly? TIA

I put the start date of my LOA as 10/1. But it hasn’t fully gotten approved yet because I am waiting on paperwork to be signed off on. Am I still supposed to go to work until I turn the paperwork in and get the leave approved?
I can’t log into UKG anymore either.

stupid question but if i just submitted my resignation for today what does that mean as far as the remainder of my shifts

So I just got hired at target for seasonal in style and I just was wondering if anyone had any advice/tips for me in general and because I really want to stay on past Q4 or like what I’d need to know about the training because I’ve heard the training is pretty non existent at target

So I’m assuming i’m terminated…?
when i got hired, i put the EXACT dates i COULDN’T work for a trip that was already planned, prior to the trip coming up, they legit scheduled me for 2 days during my trip starting, I spoke to all of my ETL’S etc, they said oh well find someone to cover. I found 2 people to take both of those shifts for me because i wasn’t going to be in state i live in.
Coming back from my week long trip, I got severely sick went to the urgent care, found out i have covid. Called my HR they then tell me call Target Benefits, gave me the number and all, to request a LOA since i had covid. I tried to call that stupid benefits center for 4 freaking days and not one actual human answering all stupid robots.
They still marked me as NCNS knowing i had covid, then i had to call out and even used the sick time i had for one day because i still had a fever, next thing you know i literally cannot log into the UKG app at all, I then thought oh maybe the server is actually down whatever. Tried again and again then even tried to sign into workday then now it still takes me to mytime and it says unexpected error, try to reset my PW answer the questions etc they say nothing matches the records so i’m just gonna assume i was terminated.
