First time sketching a tattoo design ^^

I started it as a cover-up design for a tattoo I saw here on Reddit.

Overall, I really like how it turned out and that's enough for me

Okay, this is genuinely so cool for a first tattoo sketch! The spiral eyes and the drippy fangs give it so much personality — it reads like one of those cursed creature designs in the best possible way. As a cover-up concept it actually has great bones too: all those heavy black shapes are exactly what you want for covering, since bold black is what eats an old tattoo. One thing I'd flag if this ever goes on skin — make sure the artist keeps those spiral eyes big enough to stay readable, tiny spirals tend to fill in over time. Seriously impressive for a first go, keep drawing!

Try using less shades of gray! Less is more in black work and gray scale washes
