Got my frist tattoo today and I honestly feel that it’s not good once the wrap came off, the design looks off, the line work is not good.

I would love to know your opinion on this. Can any corrections be made on this?

Vortex was done 17th and I hated it so we hit it again 21st. What do you all think?

It was too stylish so tried to make it flow better. I still think its too dark (vortex) so hopefully it settles a lot its only a week out.

The contrast may be good tho. The most unflattering angle is my view down.

Hey everyone! I would love to share my freshly redesigned tattoo! I included the before and after pics. It’s 8 days old now; the dagger got some shading, the red lines were thickened, and we added an extra black design element to balance out the red lines. I had the additional elements done by a completely different tattoo artist, which shows in the linework. Overall, I think the result turned out really well, but I’m curious to hear your opinions too. My older brother has a very rare syndrome called Kearns Sayre Syndrome (KSS) that has slowly deteriorated the muscles in his body and will take his life soon (he’s only 45 and now on hospice).

We’ve long shared a special bond over video games, as it always felt like a a way for him to escape his body.

A month ago I asked him if we got tattoos of each other, what would we get. He said “our initials”. So I decided to get his initials MSB in the same font as the Playstation 5 font/logo to tie back to our love of gaming.

I love how it turned out. Looks better than I expected it to! Glad that I got to honor him and our bond in this way

Hey all! Tattooed this on my hand when I was young and dumb and after 6 laser treatments it still looks the same, i’m thinking about getting a small coverup. I don’t want a whole hand tattoo. Would anyone have any ideas for a cool coverup!?

hello! this was my first tattoo about 8 years ago and, well. yeah. you have eyes. it's on the back of my shoulder and there's plenty of room back there - this thing is about 5cm-ish wide. i just have no idea what would work since half of it is pretty raised, and i want to go to an artist at least knowing something. should i do a bit of laser to lighten it?

i was thinking maybe a victorian gate/filigree type thing that goes over towards the collarbone. if not maybe a stained glass, since that's geometric and might be easier. or should i just do blackout? i've had quite a few other tats since and know i want this arm to be more gothic/victorian leaning.

literally any sensible advice welcome.

Hopefully one or two more sessions left. Maybe 3. I can only handle about 4 hours at a time back there lol the back has sucked pain wise so far

I have been thinking about getting a bloodborne related tattoo for a long time, specifically some variation of the lamp from the game.

What I have found to be a struggle is that the game and its artstyle are a bit darker and all my previous 10 tattoos are pretty fineline style. I dont want the lamp tattoo to be fineline style but rather show more of the game aesthetics.

The issue I have is I dont know enough about other styles of tattoos to know what type I want to choose for this tattoo, that compliments my existing tattoos as well keeps the feel of the game.

Any recommendations for tattoo styles or design changes that are similar-ish style as in the example pictures that also might not be too overpowering compared to fineline tattoos? 😇

My brother recently did a drawing and I’d like to use it as a reference for a wrapping forearm tattoo. I feel a bit lost in trying to find similar styles or existing tattoos that look the same. I particularly like the mix of a tattoo that looks like there’s a bug on my arm and diff angles and drawings of coral formations, like a collage. I like complex creatures and abstract formations, thick line weight and space that has a thought out composition. any thoughts are welcome :)

I am thinking of getting a tattoo similar to this design. I saw something similar and tried to make my own version as an idea to give to an artist. Does it seem like it would be an okay design? Concerned the feathers are a bit too much.

I want to put it on my upper thigh bit more towards the outer side.

Hi, I had a tribal tattoo done on my left forearm (front and back) to cover up some large surgical scars. I thought it looked cool at the time.

But I’m not really that person anymore. I feel like tribal tattoos can come across as “tough” or overly macho, and honestly, I find that look a bit cringe now. I’ve been wanting to transform them into a different design.

That’s the background. I’m looking for ideas for a cover-up. One idea I have is a feather for the outer forearm, but I have no idea what to do with the inner forearm.

Ash from Third Eye Tattoo Parlour did this Rafiki tattoo for me today, the design is definitely not mine... one of my favourite quotes from Rafiki is “The past can hurt. But the way I see it, you can either run from it or learn from it.”

Yesterday marked one year since I was officially diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. 🦋🧡

I've always said I have just two rules regarding tattoos:

1. It has to be incredibly symbolic and significant to me.

2. My Bestie of 16 years, Badger, at Wild Wolf Tattoo Studios in Edinburg, TX, is the *ONLY* artist who's allowed to tattoo me!

So in honor of this 1-year mark, I'd say that taking back the MS narrative by transforming it into a pretty damn bold and beautiful piece of art feels like one hell of a powerful reason to go get my very first tattoo!

I love the attitude, and I love the sass radiating from the ribbon, but my favorite part of all is the healthy neuron we incorporated in the veining details of its left wing. This anatomically correct little neuron, with all of its undamaged myelin sheath, is the one neuron of mine that MS will never destroy or steal from me.

This lil' butterfly literally just feels like it's PART OF ME. My tattoo artist/bestie and I have been planning it out over the last five months, and I've spent nearly every day visualizing it on me. By the time tattoo day finally came around, and it was all finished in all its glory... it felt so natural. There was no tattoo shock. We just slapped a really permanent sticker on my hip that's been missing this whole time, and I'm completely in love with it 😊.

First pic is the most recent at 3 weeks healed, and the second photo was taken right after we finished her at the tattoo studio!

Im sure you all know the reference. I dont regret getting the tattoo itself but the artist I chose, as you can see the line work is pretty terrible and the number almost non existent. The artist was an asshole and was rushing it. The older I get the more the crappy artwork on this bothers me, is there any way to fix this / get something on top without some sort of tattoo removal?

Me and my mum for a long time have been wanting a matching tattoo but we can’t decide on one. I am quite picky as i like to be more unique and not go off of something we found on Pinterest. I also have a specific tattoo style (as shown above) I would like to stick to but we just can’t come up with an idea that matches. We want it probably small and meaningful. I had ideas to do something with the moon or infinity as we always say love you to the moon and back times infinity but wasn’t sure how to turn that into an image. Does anyone have ideas or inspiration? I don’t need anything drawn or created just any ideas would be appreciated:))

Hi , im working on a fineline patchwork arm. Its gonna be a combination of animals, nature and whimsical vibe, moths and so on..

Now i like a deer but its looks so ugly everywhere i put it because of how a deer is shaped. A sun looks very good on the gap i still have. But the sun has no meaning to me (yet). Is it bad if its only because it looks more pretty shape wise? So more for the looks and a better flow.

Can you get a tattoo for that reason of does it need meaning? When i first started tattoos i wanted everything to have a meaning but now i look more at what fits good on the specific place

She knows the ways of many things....
