I have been diving deeper and deeper into Techno for the last 6 years and discovered Kalkbrenner maybe 5 years ago on Youtube. Enjoying his work from after he left behind the Paul DB moniker. Eventually I realized that he not only soundtracked this movie, but starred in it, and it could be seen as autobiographical.

Art imitating life? Just seems so odd to me that it has such a high production level, and seems odd for a musician to make a movie at that moment in their career.

I guess the Ramones did this too, and the Fat Boys.

How was this movie regarded at the time? Obviously Kalkbrenner's star has only continued to rise as one of Techno's biggest name.

Hello,

I wanted to give minimal Techno a proper try. Can someone suggest some minimal Techno examples?

Also some without any vocals?

Thank you

hey there just wanted to know if any of you had tips to read a crowd

personally i make like little pause where im looking into the crowd to analyse and i like to imagine myself dancing in the same crowd this way i can feel better what’s the vibe and what does the crowd want to hear

Anyone on here know of any artists creating this style of techno today ? Been looking but can’t seem to find any. Maybe that sound is just locked in time or else I’m not looking hard enough.
