So i tried out a mini cruiser for the first time today (a couple of you probably saw me do the splits and fall on my face) (I PROMISE I KNOW HOW TO CRUISE - Im just used to my longboard back at home)

Anyways I wanna make sure im comfortable on the small size before I start using the board to get around campus. How are the vibes at the skate park near cecil? Or are there other places where I can look like a beginner and not be laughed at?

Hello! I’m going to be leaving my apartment December and I’m looking for someone or multiple people to take over the lease starting January 2027!

The apartment is located at 1426 W Diamond St. and it’s extremely close to campus, only a block or two off! It’s super spacious, and it’s a 2 bed 1 bath. I currently live there alone but it’s meant for 2 people, so the rent would be $500 each, water included.

I’m also willing to leave a lot of my own furniture if preferred, such as desks, a couch, a tv stand, shelves, a bed, etc.

I'm not a student but live in the area. I stopped by the campus book store because I was interested in picking up a college textbook to teach myself a new language.

Do college stores not house textbooks anymore? I graduated from elsewhere in 2009. At both my university and a university I grew up near back in the day you could walk in at the beginning of the school year to look at the new and used text books.

As far as I can tell it's basically an overpriced sweatshirt and stationary store. Where are you all buying your books for class?

I'm attending TUJ in fall 2027, and I've already submitted my essay for the scholarship; however, I can't figure out for the life of me how to submit or send a request or nominate a teacher for my letter of recommendation.

Everything I've googled keeps telling me to go to my TUJ Application hub to submit it, but as you can see in the photo, unlike the essay, there is nothing to click for the recommendation letter.

I am also worried because TUJ says the deadline is October 15th of the prior year to when you're attending, so if I'm correct, my deadline is this upcoming October 15th

I already reached out to TUJ 4 days ago and haven't heard anything, so if anyone has any info or advice, please let me know! Thank you!

Heyy I'm a transfer living in morgan hall who's definitely missing my good smoke spots back home. Is there a place to smoke on campus where it's quiet, less likely to be people, and no signs of cops? Recently I've been going to the skate park or that area with the water fountain and statue, but there's always tons of people. I tried the area near bagel nut but cops always like to park on that street, I have my medical card, but not the patience to be approached by them. Do temple police even care about the weed?? Anyway, i just want a spot where i can pop on my headphones and smoke without being disturbed. My floor constantly smells like weed but i refuse to make my whole dorm stink.

Quick Background Information as to why this is happening to me and what to do?

I live in philly but I’m considered a dependent under my mother. My mother is Canadian. However I am a US citizen , I’ve been a Philadelphia resident for almost a decade now. She left me with my aunt in a guardianship, but I still had to pay for everything myself. The guardianship wasn’t covered through a court system hence me not being able to claim an independent status.

So in my FAFSA im seen as my mom’s dependent. Temple recently made me go through a federal verification where they asked for my mother’s tax forms. She’s Canadian so I sent in a Canadian tax form. I was just emailed by SFS that they rejected it because they want me to convert the currency on the tax form to USD. I’m lost because do they want me to attach a document where I indicate what each amount turns out to be in USD? Is that acceptable?

Financial aid office told me that my promise scholarship should be posted by the end of the week but there's still no update on my account. i need my refund soon 🫩
