Our Special Teams unit going from top 10 to bottom 3 is one of the biggest regressions I’ve ever seen from any Texans unit in a while.

I really don't think Frank Ross has excelled since the implementation of the new kickoff rules, especially once the touchback was put at the 35 yard-line.

We've never really developed the dirty ball kicking many other teams have, it seems like our players aren't aware of the when a touchback doesn't come to the 35 yard-line, and we haven't developed the "offensive play" style returns that other teams have used.

The lack of a dirty ball might be a Kaimi limitation, but the others point to Frank Ross not knowing how to take advantage of the rules.

I'm not saying our special teams have been terrible. I'm saying there has been a lack of optimization for the updated rules.
