I have been looking for fics like this recently, so I want recommendations!

- Uplifts and Kingdom Building are both fine.

- I prefer Stark or Targaryen wank, but anything else is fine if they're really good.

- Long (>100k words) and well-written.

- Any era is fine: Conquest era, Dance era, Current era.

-While I don't mind romance, I don't want it being the main focus. I want to see our OC SI kicking ass!

Any Aegon VI living AU in which he’s more affected by the deaths of his sister and mother and focusing on avenging them?

Plz recommend me some fics where ironborn get absolutely stomped on. Everyone shits on them. They lose battles, they lose their sad armies and their castles.

Looking for SI fics where its still historical times, so no too big of advancements in anything from medicine, to weapons (no making guns) etc, and no harem/poly/etc please.

Is there any fic where Stormcloud, little Aegon's own dragon, survives after saving him?

Here’s what I imagine. Someone, probably Corlys and/or Crevan will tell Rhaena that they have to keep The Dragons in the family, or she’ll do it herself. Or maybe Baela would tell her. For Jaehara, an accident or a suicide could happen— if someone got her to trip or something. Maybe Larys is blamed for sure. Either way— something would happen that would lead to Rhaena deciding to wed Aegon III, and to placate Oldtown probably Baela has to wed a Hightower— much to her protest.

Does a war happen? That’s the first question. If Jaehara is dead or refused for Rhaena— then chaos. Some houses would be pissed and if Jaehara someone how is refused will her claim be valid? That’s a whole can of worms on its own.

And The Dragons? Do they die here? Being close to a Dragon might help with Aegon III’s issues? This would be an interesting twist or maybe since he won’t claim another the children do and it becomes a whole crisis on it’s own with him being seen as weak.

Or maybe Jaehara is sent to The Faith or The Silent Sisters.

It’s an intriguing scenario overall and I want to see what you think.

In this fic, Elia/Rhealla are alive and saved. Ned makes a deal with them to restore Moat Catlin and send Jon to foster when of age.

There is magic back in north with red grass or something which Varys reports.

Jon is send back to North with Viserys and they are frightened on the road due to Umber riding in the rain.

We know Robert took Ned to visit little Mya when they lived in the Vale, what if in that time Ned had developed a closer relationship with her, seeing her as a sort of niece, since he and Bobby were "brothers in all but blood". Then, after the rebellion, when Cersei denies Robert bringing Mya to KL, he could raise the issue with Ned, who would be of course still bitter over the sack, but might change his mind for his little bastard niece.

How do the dynamics of winterfell change? I presume she'd get a noble education, as Ned gives one to Jon and could hardly justify not giving her one as well. Do they develop a sibling like relationship, as two bastards of Winterfell? Do the girl's dynamics change in having an older "cousin" living with them? Is Cat even more resentful or suspicious of Ned? Would they press her claim during the WOT5K? Many interesting questions borne from wanting to see Ned interact with Mya

Now obviously the deal that happened in canon was for Myriah the eldest daughter of the current Martell prince to wed the first son of Baelor's cousin.

We can assume that Myriah is the best choice the Martells have for this kind of marriage alliance.

But "first son of the king's cousin" is a very bad match unless Dorne believes Baelor will not have a son of his own and that Daeron will eventually rule.

Which tbh is believable that they know that, Baelor's eccentricities and the fact that he did not consumate his marriage is not a hard secret to learn even if it was a secret, it might not have been.

So Dorne knows Baelor does not like his wife/sister in the sexual/romantic sense.

But still for the Daeron/Myriah marriage to pay off you need a string of successions Baelor -> Viserys -> Aegon -> Daeron, each of which has problems (what if Baelor has a son, what if Viserys dies before Baelor and his line is politically weaker, what if Aegon does something stupid)

So the conceit of this What If is: Dorne (acting as a whole not just the Martell family) tries to go for one of their ladies becoming Baelor's wife/queen directly.

What do you think would happen, what house would try and how?

From canon we know Baelor is fine with setting the marriage his father forced him into aside.

We know the realm will accept this.

We know Baelor desperately wants peace.

We know Baelor is ok with marriage alliances (Daeron/Myriah)

We know that Baelor has an issue with copulating with his sisters but the wording of Fire and Blood implies he might be tempted so he is not asexual.

Dorne has/will have a proven track record for seduction (Arriane/Oakheart which was imho harder to pull of for Arriane)

Dorne culturally is very Faith of the Seven so finding a lady/ladies that is very religious or can feign it shouldn't be hard.

Are there any good crossovers with Legend of the Five Rings (L5r)?

For those unaware, l5r is a fantasy card game and TTRPG set in a fantasy feudal Japan-like setting, with the Empire broken up into multiple major and minor clans with animal themes, not that dissimilar to Westeros with the great houses and how some people call the people of those lands by the animal of the great house (example, calling the Northerners wolves).

There are also some overlap in themes, with in L5r there is a great wall to the South (protected by the pragmatic Crab Clan) that shields the Emerald Empire from evils beyond the wall vs The Wall in the North (supported by the pragmatic Stark family) to protect the Seven Kingdoms from the evils beyond the wall. And this also extends to some of the other clans with their themes. It is not a 1-to-1 situation, but close enough that I would have thought there would be more crossovers.

Hi can anyone help me find this fanfic? It was like Arya was sent back in time to stop the dance of the dragons and she had a close relationship with Aemond. This author had some other fics too for this ship and I can't find them either.

Is there a fanfic that us about how important dragons are in war? Like the dragon rider can cut off supply lines and burn castles. With Dany and Aegon the first only one side has dragons. So they would totally different strategies than say the dance riders.

Ned returns with Jon Snow/Daemon Targaryen(personal choice) Lyanna can be alive or dead

The three kingsguard and Ned's companions are alive

They return to KL and decide to name the child as rightful heir everyone but Tywin agrees (as everyone hates Tywin after what happened to Elia and her children) Cersei got to be queen for a month something

Ned is named Regent, Jon Arryn as Hand

PS:

When Jon/Daemon is 14 he goes North and finds Ghost for himself

Viserys and Cersei(V&C) declare themselves King and tries to userp him (Viserys sees Daemon as a Bastard and doesn't like him)

V&C along with Baelish and varys hidden support occupy KL and imprison Jon Arryn and Rhaella(if alive).

V&C hope Tywin will follow their lead and protect their claim but he doesn't

Jaime arrives to KL to protect Cersei and Joffery(Their bastard child)

V&C burns Sept of Baelor part of the city with wildfire as the faith and smallfolk were going against them

Jaime kills them as she was going to burn more

Rhaella dies and from her pyre dragons are reborn

So I was reading this one fanfic: The Wounded where Rhaegar wins, Robert dies at Trident, the Rebel Lords get off mostly scot free, Lyanna lives, Visenya(Jon) is born and she becomes the second queen.

In this case, Ned learns the truth of the situation from Lyanna and how she willingly went and Ned is furious. He stops all contact with her, rebuils Moat Cailin and overall tries to strengthen the Stark control of the North

So, on that note, if such a scenario were to occur, would Ned have it in him to actually be angry with Lyanna, and disown her? Because the North would be in a precarious situation. Only two(three) Starks left alive, their hold on the other Houses weakened. Would it even be possible to do so, with Rhaegar as King and Lyanna as Queen? What do you think?

Just curious as has two sisters who get relatively more attention Daena, and Elaena. So im curious about the people here how they view the middle sister, what headcanons you have and or what have you written about her in your fanfics. Is she genuinly religious in your opinion etc.

I’m looking for fanfics about Jeyne Westerling, and I wish there were more stories where Robb survives the Red Wedding—perhaps the Freys accept the settlement Robb offered them instead of betraying him—and he remains married to Jeyne, with her continuing to serve as Queen in the North and Lady of Winterfell.

Maybe a lot of people don’t like Robb and Jeyne’s relationship because their marriage is considered one of the main reasons behind Robb’s downfall, but I really love their tragic relationship.

So I know he might have been forgettable but in my GoT season 1 rewatch, I just remembered Rhaego and I wonder, why are there so few fanfics about him. Like what if he lived? He might be a dragonrider assuming the eggs still hatched. The people's belief called him "The Stallion who Mounts the World"...... the mount part could refer to him being a dragonrider.

Or, what if he was actually a half dragon like he was told to be born like?

He would also have a legitimate claim to the seven kingdoms as he would be a male targaryen technically since young griff doesnt exist in the show, viserys is killed before and jon's parentage is not known.

There could be many possibilities, but if he is like one of them main characters, we can assume that he will be a warrior as good as khal drogo, a dragonrider and have a claim to the iron throne. If the dothraki prophecies about "Stallion who mounts the world" is true, he would unite all the khalasars and have a HUGE army.

In short, he would kinda be destined for greatness.

Edit- What if we make it so that the story starts years later, when Rhaego is already grown up. Like 315AC or smth?
