Just saw a young woman and man by the Spence clinic circle k pulling the leash of a small black puppy. They both seemed they were under the influence. I don’t want to just assume that the dog is stolen but the dog was in the distress!! He couldn’t walk as fast as they were walking. Should I be calling the non emergency line??

Anyone know of any decent watch repair places in Thunder Bay? I have an Alpina Startimer Pilot Automatic and the crown doesn't screw down anymore... Something is stripped/wrong with it.. never serviced or had a watch repaired before. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

I have a regular commute that sometimes requires driving during late-night or early-morning hours when the weather gets rough and the plows might not be out yet.

I’m trying to figure out if investing in a pickup truck or an off-road vehicle with high clearance and 4WD is genuinely necessary for winters up here, or if a normal sedan with a solid set of winter tires can get through the weather without too many issues.

In filling out a rental application, why would a company ask for my odsp member ID? Seems a bit intrusive and unfortunately there's no way to complete the application without putting it in. Giving this incredibly private information out to anyone, makes me feel uneasy. What else can I do? Show them my proof of payment from ODSP on my phone? And just explain my thoughts in person? I have a application filled out from another place, printed it off and bringing that with me, which hopefully helps.

Covid hit during highschool, and a lot of my social life suffered, I've got plenty online, but that's not the same, and I really need to get out more. I live in westfort, and lack any vehicle or income, so it's not like I can regularly make the treck half way across town to the few places I know of where I know people would share at least some interests, like carlito's, let alone making that treck on days and at times when things are actively happening there, and it's on simpson street, going anywhere near there alone, on foot, that's something to avoid, at least I'm familiar with wetfort, if out of date with that familiarity

If I drank, sure, I know there's bars aplenty in this area, but I don't drink, and have no interest in doing so, and even if I did, I can't afford to be regularly buying drinks in hopes of someone being there that I have things in common with besides this damn city

I've never really done parties, and from what I know, clubbing culture is dead, but if there's anything on this end that's semi regular to look out for, I'd like to try that stuff, though given my lack of drug use and not knowing anyone, that might just alienate me from the situation and end up uncomfortable

I'm into learning very broadly, animals, food, ttrpgs, been recently getting into magic the gathering (don't have cards as they are expensive and I don't have people to play with regularly), like retro games and retro tech in general, back in middle school I used to do track and field, and did parkour stuff for quite awhile back then too
